MEKTEPSKI MATERIJAL 11. i 18. oktobar, (druga, starija, grupa) NAME: THE QUR'AN - SURAH AL-IKHLAS The Sincerity (Revealed in Makkah, 4 ayat) Interesting facts: - The Prophet Muhammad, sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, may Allah honor him and grant him peace, described this Surah as equal to one third of the Qur an. - This Surah teaches us about Tawhid, or the Oneness of Allah. He wants us to have faith in Tawhid with complete sincerity. - The meaning of ikhlas is purification of our belief from the filth of worshiping other gods. 1. Memorize the Surah 2. PERFORMING PRAYER - DU'AS After you make At-Tahiyyatu and Salawats, and before you complete prayer with Salams, on the last sitting of Rak'ah, it's time to ask Allah for yourself and your beloved ones. Here are two beautiful Du'as (supplications) from the Qur'an: RABBENAA AATINAA FID-DUNJAA HASENETEN VE FIL AAHIRETI HASENETEN VEKINAA AZAABEN-NAAR. RABBENAGFIR LII VE LI VAALIDEJJE VE LIL MU MINIINE JEVME JEKUUMUL HISAAB. Our Lord! Give us in this world that which is good and in the Hereafter that which is good, and save us from the punishment of the Fire! Our Lord, forgive me and my parents and the believers the Day the account is established. GOOD IN THIS WORLD GOOD IN THE HEREAFTER THE BEST TREATMENT TO PARENTS And your Lord has commanded that you not worship except Him, and to parents, the best treatment. Whether one or both of them reach old age with you, say not to them [so much as], "uff," and do not reject them, but speak to them respectful words. 3 3. ILMIHAL - IHSAN "O Muhammad! Inform me about AL-IHSAN." He (the Prophet) answered, It is worshiping Allah as though you see Him, and if you cannot see Him, you know indeed He sees you. Al-Ihsaanu an ta bud- Allaaha ka annaka taraahu, fa en lam takun taraahu fa ennahuu yaraake. Ihsan je da obožavaš Allaha kao da ga vidiš, jer ako ti Njega ne vidiš, On, Allah, tebe uistinu vidi. The word Ihsan means perfection or excellence. Ihsan is doing the best we can for Allah s sake. As Muslims, we have to strive for Ihsan in our character and actions. Allah will help us if we work hard to achieve Ihsan. The Prophet, alayhi salam, says: Allah really loves if any of you has done a deed to perfect it." 1.
