1 IACC Sunday School Curriculum Grade 3 Detailed syllabus GRADE 3 : AQEEDAH SYLLABUS September 10 t h : First day for Sunday school, meet the student and give the books.what does Allah (SWT) do? We can t see Allah (SWT) but we can know many things about Him by understanding what He does. September 17 t h : Some Names of Allah (SWT) students can know more about Allah (SWT) by studying some of His beautiful names; these names give us a better understanding of Allah (SWT) mode of action and His qualities. September 24 t h : Allah the most merciful, His mercy covers everything. Allah (SWT) is so merciful and how His mercy benefits all of us October 1 s t : Allah (SWT) the best judge, one of the most significant qualities. Allah (SWT) wants us to be fair when we deal with others. The students will learn about Allah s judgment and why we should depend upon His judgment. Page 1 of 8
2 IACC Sunday School Curriculum Grade 3 October 8 t h : We are Muslims. If we want to know someone we need to know what he does and what he believes. As Muslims, we do certain things and believe in something. The student will learn the few important requirements that make us Muslim. October 15 t h : Some names of the Qur an. The Qur an has several other names explain some of the unique qualities of the Qur an students should memorize and understand the eight names given in the lesson. October 22 n d : Hadith the students will get a basic understanding of the hadith. They will learn the names of the major compilers of Hadith and how many major books of hadith are now available. October 29 t h : Shahadah announcing Allah (SWT) is one, shahadah is the declaration of our faith in Islam. The students will learn what it means when we declare shahadah. The will also learn why Shahadah makes us Muslim? First semester project assigned. Page 2 of 8

The students will learn the basics of different types of salat and when these salat are done. November 12 t h : Why we make Salat, Muslims are required to make salat for several reasons. The students will learn the importance of salat and how doing salat makes us better Muslims. November 19 t h : Sawm the third pillar of Islam, fasting is one of the pillars of Islam. The students will get a basic idea about fasting and its purpose. First Quiz Hand Out the reviews sheet. November 26 t h: Thanksgiving holiday. December 3 r d :Review for the Midterm Exam Go over all the questions. December 10 t h: Review for the Midterm Exam Go over all the questions. Page 3 of 8

January 7 t h : Hajj the fifth pillar of Islam, this lesson will give brief outline of Hajj and its rituals. The students will also learn brief history of Ibrahim (A), Isma il (A) and Hajar. They will also learn the manes of the places related to Hajj. January 14 t h : The Prophet Muhammad (S) in Makkah, in this lesson the students will learn brief history of the life of the Prophet (S) when he was in Makkah from his birth until he migrated to Madinah. January 21 s t : The Prophet (S) in Madinah, in this lesson the students will learn brief history of the life of the Prophet (S) after he migrated to Madinah until he liberated Makkah. The students will also learn the manes of the first three battles fought against the Muslims. January 28 t h : Page 4 of 8
5 IACC Sunday School Curriculum Grade 3 How Rasulullah (S) treated others, in this lesson the students will learn a few things about how the Prophet (S) treated people. Many were his companions and many were his enemies, in a story format this lesson follows the daily life of the Prophet (S). February 4 t h : Isma il (A) and Ish aq (A) Prophet of Allah (SWT), in this lesson the students will learn about two prophets, starting from their birth and their contribution of the future generations. February 11 t h : Parent teacher conferences February 18 t h : Daw ud (A) a Prophet of Allah (SWT) the student will learn the life and mission of the Prophet in fascinating. The students will learn how Dawad (A) becomes the king; they will also read a short summary about the major achievements of Prophets (A). January February 28 t h : Is a (A), in this lesson provides a short summary of the life and mission of the Prophet Isa (A) Second semester project assigned. Page 5 of 8
6 IACC Sunday School Curriculum Grade 3 March 4 t h : Being Kind a virtue of the believers. The teachings the Qur an and the Prophet (S) encourage us to be kind to others, this lesson tells us why being kind to others I is good virtue. March 12th: Spring break holiday March 18 t h : Forgiveness is a quality of the believers. Allah (SWT) is the most forgiving; He forgives our sins and wipes them off if we pray to Him. Allah (SWT) wants us to have the quality of forgiveness; in this lesson students will learn the importance of forgiveness. March 25 t h : Good deeds are a duty of the believers. Doing good deeds makes us good Muslims. Belief in Islam is not enough; we must also do good deeds. This lesson shows why we should always do good deeds. April 1 s t : Cleanliness is a quality of the true believers. One of the important teachings of Islam is to be clean physically, but we should also keep our minds clean. This lesson discusses the importance of cleanliness and how we can keep ourselves clean. Page 6 of 8

He says we should always follow the right path, this lesson discusses what the right path is, how we can know which path and how to follow that path. April 15 t h: Muslim family, this lesson discusses some of the characteristics of an ideal Muslim Family. Students will learn what the Muslim family does n daily basis and what makes Them good Muslims. April 22 t h : Perseverance never give up, Islam requires us to show patience and perseverance. The Students will learn the importance of perseverance as a main quality of true believers. April 29 t h : Final Quiz. Handing final review sheet. Punctuality doing things on time, timeliness is an important value of Islam.We offer ignore the need of being timely in many things we do in life. In this lesson students will learn why Allah (SWT) encourages us to be punctual in life. May 6 t h :Review for the final Exam Go over all the questions. Page 7 of 8
