4 The Knights will be selling Hamburgers, Hot Dogs and Chips before the Neil Diamond Tribute Concert on October 26th. Dinner and a concert!! HUMANE SOCIETY Will be selling tickets to the Neil Diamond Tribute Concert after all the masses this weekend. Thank you! The Hart County Humane Society is sponsoring a fundraiser in founders Hall on Friday, October 26, The Cherry Cherry Band will be doing a Neil Diamond Tribute Concert. Doors will open at 6:30 pm and the concert starts at 7:30 pm. Cash and Check only. Founders Hall Both levels of Founders Hall have been painted and look fantastic! Many thanks to Scott Sullivan and his sons Bryson and Eric for painting the upper level of Founders Hall and, also, to our many volunteers who painted the basement in September. The carpet has also been cleaned. We have a very nice facility that looks great. Please enjoy it and thank you for helping to keep it in good condition. Founders Hall is available for parish events and also may be booked for outside groups. We encourage everyone to consider Founders Hall and its reasonable rates when needing a venue. The Knights of Columbus Clergy Appreciation breakfast will be on October 28th in Founders Hall at 10:00 AM. Please mark your calendars and plan on attending. In his homily, Deacon Barry mentions the need for us to share our time, talent and treasure with the Church. We are in need of an organist and/or pianist here at St. Mary s. If you know of someone who plays keyboards, or if you as a parishioner can play, please let Deacon Barry know. One does not have to be a master of music to play! And, keyboardists who are not familiar with Catholic liturgy need not worry as we will work with anyone. Our liturgy needs music, so please consider this request. Be not afraid!

Safety Tip Beware of scammers! There have been recent reports of fraudulent activity in the Hartwell area, particularly phone calls promising gifts and prizes in exchange for money. These scams are particularly targeting the elderly in our community. Never give information to an individual or group that you do not know. When in doubt, simply hang up the phone and report any questionable activity to proper authorities. While you are out of town please visit: Locate the closest church and a schedule for masses.
