By: Chris Santasiere Outside of the annual Hanover Tomato Festival, the BLOCK Party that Fairmount puts on every other year is the largest free event that takes place in Hanover County. We anticipate 2,500+ people to attend our BLOCK Party. Polish Christian Ministries Niños de México TEAM - Pakistan (Armisteads) HEART - Haiti Red Quarry - Haiti (Avenel Clersaint, Luc Aristhene) (Leon Dorleans) Pray specifically for: Mick O Hannahan (Niños de México) and his serious health issues. Avenel Clersaint Visit (Haiti): April 27, Niños de México Mission Trip: July 5-12, Poland Mission Trip: July 17-27, 17 Luc Aristhene Visit (Haiti): July 20, Testing the equipment to ensure it is safe for the children. We had a great time making fruit loop necklaces in the craft room! Adrian and Klaudia were VERY excited about the delicious craft! The kids are lined up to do an ending program for the parents. We hope we made an impact on these kids lives and they show the fruits of the spirit in their every day lives. Children from new home with soccer jersey and sporting equipment. Caity enjoys dinner with a young girl. The IMPACT Ministry of Fairmount sent a team of 10 people to Lublin, Poland in July. This was the second time that Fairmount has visited Poland, the first time being in Our main objective was to lead a VBS for the Hosanna Christian Fellowship in Lublin. Besides the VBS, we led and participated in many outreach events in the community and in a neighboring town. Here are some pictures from our trip with captions that serve to tell the story of our trip. Our hosts while in Poland were Marek and Zosia Charis. Marek serves as the senior minister of Hosanna Christian Fellowship in Lublin, Poland. This was our church home for the week- Hosanna Christian Fellowship. The church is located in a poor section of Lublin. We were privileged to be able to meet many families and children in the neighborhood. Hosanna has become a rallying point for this community. Brian teaching the kids 4-square outside of the Church. Chris joins in the memory verse practice with the youngest group. The children had to eat the cereal from the bowl in order to discover the memory verse. Polish children had never eaten Fruit Loops before! It is hard to wrap your mind around all the evil that happened at Auschwitz, especially on such a beautiful day. We silently listened to our tour guide as she explained various parts of historical events. Despite the horrible events that took place at the camp, it was encouraging to hear of the spiritual and physical strength some of these people had. Round and round they go. 3 Feature: Impact Ministry Saturday, September 13 th from 3-6pm Held at Cold Harbor Elementary School Here are the opportunities available to serve your neighbors and help introduce them to Christ at our community Block Party. Each opportunity during the event is broken into time slots so you can work awhile and still have time to visit and play. Sign up to help in your area(s) of interest at the Block Party Volunteer Table in the front foyer on Sunday. Another great way to help is to drop your group off at the school, park at church, and ride one of the shuttles back to the party. As you can see, we need YOU! Working together, we can make this event a fun and memorable time for our neighbors and let them know that the Fairmount Family (that s us!) cares about them. What better way to welcome them into our church and, hopefully, into a relationship with their Savior.
