2 Locust Presbyterian Church 11:00 am Worship Prelude, Welcome, Announcements Honoring Birthday & Anniversary Children s Message: Evan Amo *Call to Worship: (Revelation 4): One: We come together as you people, to proclaim you as Lord; Many: Though we are many, we are one, knit together and united with your Son. One: We join our voices in a symphony of your praise: All: Holy, holy, holy, the Lord God the Almighty, who was and is to come! *Ingathering Song: Fairest Lord Jesus Fairest Lord Jesus! 5 Mission Study Committee Update Your Mission Study team has been busy the past few months working and we would like to take this moment to THANK everyone that filled out a survey. We had 35 online and 16 paper ones turned in. 51 total!!!! We had a Community Leaders roundtable last week with 7 folks representing different areas of our community. We gathered lots of great ideas on how LPC can be involved in our community. This report will be presented along with the final report. Robert Britt from West Stanly Christian Ministry participated and he had this to say: We would like to thank Locust Presbyterian Church (USA) for inviting West Stanly Christian Ministries to a community forum on how LPC can impact and help change the community. It's a rare and vulnerable place to ask folks to critique and evaluate the job you're doing. Thanks, LPC, looking forward to working with you in the name of Jesus. UPCOMING We are down to the last step and that is congregational roundtable discussions. We have two planned and each evening will serve a different purpose. We hope you will put these date on your calendar and plan to attend both evenings. Monday, Congregational roundtable to "tease out" some answers that came in. We will dig a little deeper into some of the questions Wednesday, Congregational roundtable to "discuss what LPC plans to be in the future" The summary report will be presented to the November Session Meeting on Tuesday, November 28 at 7:00pm. Following that the summary will be available to the members. Respectfully submitted: Fred Wickert, Ray Bradford, Jane Blackman, Jaime Kappes, Dennis Joyner, Michael Longhurst and Amy Bates Mission Study Committee Update Your Mission Study team has been busy the past few months working and we would like to take this moment to THANK everyone that filled out a survey.
