Maci during this time as he continues to journey with God in discerning his vocation. May this be a year where we continue to swim upstream and do things differently. We pray that as a community we strive to become true wounded healers where all who are broken may come. May our Precinct be a place of community where everyone could find solitude and silence. Gracious God be our guide as we as Parish focus on our 3 Apex Mission Priorities in the Diocese for Prayers for all our young people as they start a new year. We pray for a fruitful Lenten season; may it be a season of letting go of the false-self. And so Loving God bless us as a parish family and all who walks through our doors. 16 St Michael & All Angels, Edgemead Almighty God we thank you for the parish community at St Michael s. We thank you for Fr Rod and his wife Jenny, for Revd Allan and his wife Avril, who diligently care for all in our church family and beyond. We especially lift before you Revd David, our rector, and his wife Joy, and thank you for his generous giving of his time and leadership gifts which enables your church to grow and be a shining light in our community. We give you thanks for all the new members of PCC who give so generously of their time and talents. We pray for our church wardens, David Baird and Sharon Erasmus as well as Warwick Domingo our Alternate warden. Thank you for the success of the recent strategic planning day away and the challenges set before us for We praise you for the new families who have come to worship with us and pray that they will feel the love and caring, so evident, within our parish. We ask you Lord to unite us in our mission to serve one another and reach out to all who are lonely and in need of your love in our community and beyond. Deepen our commitment to worship and bless our Home Cells. Especially we pray for our Teenage Discipleship Groups. We lift before you the appointed two Group Leaders, Shareen Niekerk (Senior Group) and Motlatji Ditodi (Junior Group), who have been commissioned to facilitate these groups. We hold before you the Sunday school as they minister to the many younger children and thank you for their dedication. We thank you for our Prayer Chain and all prayer warriors. We ask you Holy Spirit, to stir up the hearts of our people to prayer and a deeper worship. We trust you Holy Spirit to lead us as we grow in love and service. Lord Jesus, we offer our beloved parish to Your Sacred heart. We pray for the needs of all our parishioners, and for our own special intentions. We hold before you Lord the process of the renewal of our parish vision in Amen. Holy week with the College of Ordinands When you go to your place of prayer, don t try to think too much or manufacture feelings or sensations. Don t worry about what words you should say or what posture you should take. It s not about you or what you do. Simply allow Love to look at you and trust what God sees!
