5 OUR CONFESSION OF FAITH IN THE NICENE CREED I believe in one God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth and of all things visible and invisible. DISTRIBUTION Our Practice of Close Communion We believe that God desires unity of faith and confession among all who commune together. All communicant members of Immanuel and of our sister congregations in the Church of the Lutheran Confession are welcome at the Lord s Table. If there are visitors present who wish to commune with us in the future, you are invited to speak with Pastor after the service. Please register for Communion at either binder in the front or rear of church. Members who have difficulty at the kneeling rail may sit in the front pew on either side. The pastors will bring communion to you. Communicants sitting in the balcony should come down to the narthex for direction to the table. If you desire the bread in your hand, simply extend your hand to the Pastor as he approaches you with the bread. Lego Robotics Spring Challenge Interested in Legos and robots? 4-8th-grade students of the CLC are invited to enter the 2018 CLC Lego Robotics Spring Challenge. The Challenge will be held at ILC March 9-10 th 2018, during the Spring CLC Basketball Tournaments. High school or adult teams may be allowed to participate by special request. Registration deadline for the Challenge is Feb 4 th. To help, we are hosting a Robotics Invitational Workshop on February 17 th at Berea, IGH. It will teach all the skills needed to build and run a robot in the CLC LR Spring Challenge. The workshop would run from 8:30am to 3pm with a lunch provided. CLC Tournament Band The 15 th Annual Tournament Band will be performing at the CLC Grade School Basketball Tournament in Eau Claire, WI on Saturday, March 10. 9 Nominations for ILC President The Board of Regents announces the following nominations for the office of President of Immanuel Lutheran High School, College, and Seminary: Paul Naumann and Steven Sippert. The term of this call is for two years, extending to the end of Academic Year All comments from members of CLC congregations regarding these candidates are to be received by March 15, 2018 (postmarked by March 1), to: Dr. Daniel Schierenbeck; 23 SE 240 Rd.; Warrensburg, MO 64093; Tax Statements are available for pick up on the tables at the entrance to church. They are grouped alphabetically. There is a statement for each member who contributed. We do keep records for visitors as we are able. 10 Your Support for CLC Missions through Visiting Missionary Todd Ohlmann We all have the commission from our Lord Jesus to "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature, Mark 16:15. It isn t possible for any one of us to do this ourselves. We can, though, share the work by sending willing workers to proclaim Christ on our behalf, and to train others to do so. One of the ways we do this is through our full-time missionary in India, Peter Evensen. Another way is through our full-time visiting Missionary, Todd Ohlmann. Missionary Ohlmann spends half of each year traveling to the various church bodies with which we are in fellowship, to assist them in outreach and in the training of local men for the Gospel ministry.
