These shirts will be ordered by August 12th and worn on September 16th to wind up the project. ELCA "God's Work. Our hands. " project for 2018 will be collecting new stuffed animals for a pediatric unit at the hospital. Stuffed animals will be donated with a note, which states the "animal" has been blessed and a picture of the "animal" sitting in a pew. The deadline for these donations will be September 9 th. A box for the stuffed animal and shirt order forms will be found in the Narthex. Thank you! Your Evangelism team

According to leaders at Salvation Army, often people who are struggling tend to dress their children from the outside in. We want to help change that issue for families getting ready for the new school year. We are collecting new underwear, sports bras, camisoles, socks and undershirts. Sizes needed are for elementary kids to high schoolers. Thank you, Your Evangelism team

3 Thank you to all who helped with our God s Good Creation vacation Bible school! Thank you for donating food, craft items, and especially your time! We have blessed the children of our church and First Presbyterian Church and our community by sharing God s good news! We are thankful to you and to God! Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ, I will be on vacation from Monday, August 13 Sunday, August 26, I am pleased to announce that The Rev. Robyn Axel-Adams will preside and preach on both Sunday, August 19 and Sunday, August 26. The Rev. Dr. Jerry O Neal, pastor of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Muncie will be on call in the event of any pastoral emergencies that arise during this time. 4 ** SNACKS FOR NA ** Holy Trinity, let's show God's love and our encouragement to those who attend NA meetings held in our church. The first week of each month, we will be supplying a snack for the Monday and Wednesday night groups. Cookies, brownies, pretzels, popcorn, etc. would be easy snacks to serve. A sign up will be in the Narthex. A reminder will be in the bulletin the last Sunday of the month, so that your snacks can be brought the following Sunday. Your Evangelism Team RESURRECTION AND THE AFTERLIFE IN THE NEW TESTAMENT As Christians, we profess to believe in the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come, but what exactly does this mean? Dr. Candida Moss, a Catholic theologian, has written 12 lectures to help us gain an understanding of the afterlife. These DVD lectures will be viewed and then discussed with the use of a study guide. Plan to join the Women's Bible Study on Monday, August 13, at 6:30 p.m. in the Hobby Library. Find the sign up sheet in the Narthex, so that a copy of the study guide can be made for you!
