4 Discipling Growing in our Relationship with Jesus THE STORY Christmas Music Tour INVITE CARDS Invite a Friend Sunday October 21 In 2013 AMC is going to be talking a lot about the story of scripture and how God s plan is revealed to us through his Word, the Bible. The Story Tour, a special Christmas celebration at the Assembly Hall Friday, Nov. 30th at 7 pm, will be a great way to kick this off. We would like to have a good group attend this together in the church van and other vehicles if needed. Group cost is $24 a ticket if we have 15 or more people. Sign up on the C.L. board and join us for this special musical journey from Genesis to Revelation which includes a full choir, orchestra, and many well known Christian artists. October 21st is going to be Invite a Friend Sunday at AMC. Each mailbox had 3 invite cards in it last Sunday for you to hand out in the weeks ahead. On that Sunday we will not be having Christian Ed. time at 9:30. Instead we will have coffee, juice, and donuts in the fellowship hall starting at 10:00 am, encouraging a time of greeting and fellowship before the worship celebration. The prelude singing will begin at 10:30 am that morning. Invite that neighbor family, co-worker, or friend that doesn t go to church anywhere! UPCOMING EVENTS Today, Oct. 7th 3:00 the Moultrie County 4-H Grounds. AMC Fall Fest. Next Sunday, Oct. 14th 6:00 the youth house for devotions. 5 KEEPING UP WITH AMC Paul and Esther Rocke s daughter Kristen is in Carle hospital following a car accident last weekend. Keep them in your prayers! Dick Storm has a new family living in his front yard. Ask him about it. Andy and Lynn M. are having their annual family campout at Walnut Point State Park this weekend. KRISPY KREME DOUGHNUTS AMC Youth Fundraiser Our second annual AMC Fall Festival will be at the Moultrie County 4H Grounds today starting at 3 pm. Volleyball, hay rides, games for the children and a carry-in fellowship meal at 6 pm will be a part of the festivities. This will be our first Sunday Fellowship Meal for October. If the weather is a little cool or cold please bring table games to play inside in the heat. Also bring your lawn chairs, washer games, and so on. We had a lot of fun last year and expect more of the same this year! The youth group is selling Krispy Kreme Doughnuts as a fundraiser for our trip to Convention next summer. They will be taking orders until October 17th. The cost is $6 per dozen for glazed doughnuts which is less than Casey s and other locations. The doughnuts will be delivered on Saturday, October 20th. Talk to a youth member and place your order for these wonderfully tasting doughnuts and then enjoy. PATHFINDERS October 28th Save the date for Pathfinders on October 28th at Brad-o-Clen. More details closer to the date.

6 Outreach Our Relationships with the World MCC RELIEF KITS AMC is Collecting Items included in Relief Kits Mennonite Central Committee is in urgent need of relief health kits to send to war torn countries around the world. A specific need right now is for the people of Syria who are fleeing to refugee camps outside of that country. Please bring all or as many of these items as you can and place them in the tub in the foyer.
