Tickets are $8.00 and can be purchased in the Church Office or from a UMM member. Eat in or take out meals will be served from 11:00AM-1:30PM. Mr. and Mrs. Jason (Nicola) Stansel 824 Woods Hole Circle Statesboro, GA Jason and Nicola join our church on transfer from a local church of another denomination. Jason is a manager at Crider Foods while Nicola is a nurse at the Women s Pavilion at East Georgia Regional Medical Center. Their older daughter, Brooke, who is in the 8th grade at William James, is already a church member. Parker, who is in the 6th grade at Williams James was confirmed. Their younger son, Benny, is in the 4th grade at Julia P. Bryant. Mr. and Mrs. Bobby (Heidi) Coble 1062 Franklin Road Statesboro, GA Phone: Bobby and Heidi join our church on transfer of membership from a local church of another denomination. Bobby is employed with Pawn City while Heidi is employed with BBWH Insurors. Their daughter, Jada, who is in the 6th grade at William James was confirmed. Their older daughter, Jena is in the 9th grade at Statesboro High. Statesboro First United Methodist Church Martha Blanchette Boatman - 90th Birthday The family of Martha Blanchette Boatman invites you to help celebrate her 90th birthday at an Open House on Saturday, May 14, 2016 from 2:00PM-5:00PM in the Fellowship Hall. 3 Youth Ministries News Night of Worship at the RAC - May 1 **No Sunday Night Surge** This Sunday night we will not be having regular Surge. Instead, we will be participating in the community wide worship service being held at the GSU RAC Pavillion. We will be meeting at the church at 5:00PM, heading to Sonic to grab some refreshments, and then to the GSU RAC Pavilion. This event is from 6:00PM 9:00PM. We will be taking the church bus to accommodate any students who do not drive. We would love for your student to join us! Breakfast Club - May 2 We will meet at 7:00AM in Room 306 to enjoy breakfast, fellowship, and a devotional. We will then transport students to school. Vacation Bible School June Every year our students do a fantastic job serving our children s ministry through Vacation Bible School. If your student would like to sign up to help please let Becca know, bbrown@statesborofirst.com. Students will need to arrive each morning by 8:40AM and will be dismissed around 12:15PM. Kids JAM will provide special music. Please offer your support and encouragement as the children are very excited about this leadership opportunity. Wednesday Night Ministry Wednesday night, May 11, will be our final Wednesday night children s ministry gathering of the season. We will celebrate with a party for Pre-K through 5th grade in the Fellowship Hall following small group activities. **Please note, there will be no Kids JAM on May 11. Vacation Bible School June :00AM-12:00PM Registration is available on our website for children in rising Pre-K through 6th grade (must be 4 years old by 9/1/16). Volunteers are needed to serve this summer! Please see the VBS volunteer sign up sheet on the first floor hallway near the Fellowship Hall. We are collecting toilet paper rolls! They will be turned into bats to go in our cave at Cave Quest VBS. Please save yours to drop off in the Church Office. Statesboro First United Methodist Church National Day of Prayer The National Day of Prayer is Thursday, May 5th. It will be observed on the Statesboro Courthouse lawn at 12:00PM. All are welcome and encouraged to attend. Wednesday Night Menu - May 4-5:30PM RJ s: Ham, Butter Beans, Mac & Cheese, Salad, Roll Meals are $6.00 for adults; $4.00 for kids 12 and under; $2.00 for PB&J sandwich and chips.
