2 St Joseph s Parish - Council of Catholic Women A paid affiliation of the Council on all levels; Parish, Deanery, Diocesan, National and World under the guidance of the Bishop of St. Cloud. Christian Mothers is a Confraternity affiliated with the Confraternity in Pittsburgh Pa. ENROLLMENT IS IN MAY It is open to all Catholic Women of the Parish. 1. Four meetings are the second Thursday of the month and two events are as scheduled. 2. Dues are $2 a year, payable to the treasurer. 3. The Chair of all the committees is responsible for notifying the persons and function of her committee. 4. All women on the committees are to attend the business meeting. 5. The lunch committee will provide a door prize of $4 paid for by the lunch donations. (simple lunch) 6. The Christian Mother President and Officers will call members to pray the rosary for deceased members of the Christian Mothers or Parish Members. 4 January 2018 No Regular Meeting Officer s Planning Meeting March for Life January 2018 February and March 2018 No Meeting 40 Days of Life February 14 March 25, 2018 Pray to End Abortion A 40 Days for Life campaign consists of 40 days of prayer and fasting in shifts outside of a clinic or hospital that performs abortions, or which provides women having abortions elsewhere with advice, for 40 days. See: Diocesan Catholic Womens Conference- 50 years of Humane Vitae- DCCW and office of Marriage and Family as Co-Sponsors (takes the place of Spring Retreat) St. Anthony Padua St Cloud March 10, 2018 First Communion Pray for our youth as they prepare for first reconciliation and first communion. PRAYER FOR YOUTH We offer to you, Loving God, the gifts and needs of youth. Bless them with your guiding grace as they face the challenges and opportunities in their lives. Touch their hearts with the gentleness of your love, that they may know they are valued and valuable beings. Send your spirit of hope to their lives, that they may believe in themselves and know they are needed in this world. Grace them with the gift of joy that they may celebrate life through laughter and tears alike. Guide us, as we continue to grow in appreciation of the many gifts of young people, in the ministry opportunities we offer to them, in the journey of faith we walk with them, in our shared mission as a community called to discipleship in the world.
