The book of Hebrews calls our natural home a "better country, that is a heavenly one, whose Builder and Maker is God." I am thinking ofthat in terms oftime. Though we live out our days on this earth in time, we are already inhabiting eternity. God designed His people to live on two planes simultaneously. Thus the Bible declares that we are "citizens of heaven from which we await the Savior." Waiting relates to time, and waiting is usually not our best quality. When we consider that is Jesus for Whom we are waiting, it is way more than worth the wait. A common phrase is "where did the time go?" That's the nature oftime; it continually, steadily marches on. For this reason the Bible tells us to "make the best use of the time" that is allotted to us. I thought of this as I was playing with our grandsons in Texas. Two years ago Seth was so tiny I cradled him in one hand inside his "plastic box." This past week, he was heavy to hold with two hands. What a wonder two years have made. God is like that! September makes us consider time as it is the changing of seasons. The autumnal equinox occurs on September 22nd. Summer ends and autumn begins. Time seems to pass by quickly but it is very gradual. With the beginning of summer hours of sunlight begin to dwindle by minutes each day and with the beginning of winter sunlight hours begin to lengthen by minutes each day until summer and it happens all over again. "Just like clockwork" we say. So it is with ourlives and our being changed into the image of God. It is little by little and moment by moment. Our transformation is not spectacular but steady. We sometimes miss blessings because they are not spectacular. It is not the nature of blessings to be spectacular but the normal involvement ofgod in our lives. That's why every moment is sacred and not to be shut out. As the lengthening of hours of sunlight is not noticeable on a daily basis, so it is with ourtransformation. As with daylight, it is after some time we notice the change, so it is with our transformation. "Be not weary" God says, "for in due season we reap." So saints, keep on keeping on! ^ ^

2 Dolgeville Christian Fellowship- September 2012 Page 2 PRAYER FOR THE WORLD KAZAKHSTAN: There were no known Christians in this former Soviet Republic in Today Christians number about 15,000 and they are spreading the Gospel from more than 100 healthy, small congregations. All this is happening against a backdrop of Islam. Approximately 53 % of Kazakhs are Muslims. Pray for a great outpouring of the grace of God in Kazakhstan, as well as all the -stan nations that were formerly under Soviet domination.
