The courses are suitable for any individuals who wish to develop their understanding of the Bible including ordained and lay worship leaders, and students of theology and related subjects. 5 SUMMER BIBLICAL STUDY IN CAMBRIDGE 2015 August 2015 at Robinson College, Cambridge The Vacation Term for Biblical Study (Registered Charity No ) runs Summer Biblical Study in Cambridge, hosted by Robinson College. It is a summer school for the benefit of people who wish to deepen their knowledge and understanding of the Bible and allied subjects. The Inaugural Lecture on the opening Sunday takes place in the striking College Chapel with its John Piper stained glass windows. Each week is a separate programme of 19 one hour sessions. Morning lectures begin at 10.15am and consist of two main courses covering Old and New Testament topics. Each is a series of four lectures, with a concluding question and answer session. The same lecturers provide three related Readings in which exegetical and translation issues are discussed. A Supplementary series on an allied subject also follows later in the day. Participants can be issued with a Certificate of Attendance on request. Robinson College Grounds As an optional extra, for a fee of 25, participants can enrol for daily language classes in biblical Greek or Hebrew at absolute beginner, intermediate or advanced level, which take place after breakfast. Quiet walk from Robinson College to the Centre of Cambridge via the picturesque Backs Participants will have free time in the afternoon to explore the attractions of the historic City of Cambridge and the surrounding countryside, or engage in quiet private study. Robinson College occupies a relatively quiet location, which is an excellent base from which to walk into Cambridge. The Backs, close to King s College Cambridge Arrangements are being made for participants to have access to the University s Divinity Library during the Term. Accommodation for this event includes full board. It is in attractive, well-appointed single study bedrooms at Robinson College, all of which have en-suite baths with overhead showers. Parking is located at the University Sports Ground half a mile away. A shuttle bus is available to assist participants during the arrival and departure periods.

It might be possible to consider later bookings but please check with the Treasurer. If you have to withdraw, a deduction of 20 of the lecture fees will be made up to 15 June, and half the lecture fees after that date. Once accommodation fees have been paid in June 2015 it will not be possible to guarantee a refund of these in the event of later withdrawal, and it would be advisable for those booking to take out insurance against this risk. BURSARIES At the time of writing (21 April 2015) a very small number of bursaries is still available for applicants who would otherwise have difficulty affording the full residence fees. Bursaries are normally granted only to people who are resident in the UK and Republic of Ireland, which includes overseas students studying at UK and Irish Universities.
