Namkum, P.B. 24 Ranchi , Jharkhand Mobile: , Jharna means spring and this spirituality center would like to be a spring to persons who come nearer to this spring. Jharna was inaugurated in September It provides facilities for monthly recollection, group and individual retreats, spiritual and religious renewal programs as well as programs aiming at personal growth, meetings and seminars. Workshops on various topics can be held here. Two groups may have their programs simultaneously if feasible. There are two chapels in the first floor, one of them is quite bid where a public address system is fitted and the second one is small meant for a smaller group of participants and there is also a prayer room in the ground floor. Accommodation: We have 33 double bed rooms and five single bed rooms available (all self-contained). In case of a smaller group a single person can occupy a double bed room. [With the payment of Rs per day] Charges: Registration: (for less than 5 days) (for 6 days and more) Accommodation charge: Rs per person per day Hall: where a public address system is fitted: Rs per day (for bigger groups) N.B: In case of power failure generator will be used from 6.30 P.M. to 9.30 P.M. If required at any other time extra amount will be charged.

2 Programs: We welcome groups as well as individuals for retreats; you are welcome to bring your own resource person for a particular program if you want to have one. If residing directors are available and competent for a particular program, they will be ready to help you. Retreats given here are directed retreats and also preached retreats for bigger groups. You are requested to contact the Director of the Centre well ahead of time. [Rs per day individually] How to get to Jharna 1. If you come from Patna and if the train stops at Namkum railway station, get down there and go the other side of the station to the road and take an auto-rickshaw for Namkum Bazaar. From Namkum Bazaar walk ahead a few yards and take the road on the left for A.T.C. (Agriculture Training Centre) or Kendriya Vidyalaya (Central School). Jharna is in the A.T.C. campus. 2. If you go to Ranchi railway station, you can reserve an auto-rickshaw and come to A.T.C. or Kendriya Vidyalaya (Central School) via Namkum Bazaar. It may cost Rs. 200/ Rs. 250/- If you are familiar with Ranchi railway station and roads, come to Katatoli Chowk and take a shared auto-rickshaw coming to Namkum Bazzar. 3. If you come by bus to Birsa Bus Stand (Khad Garha) take a shared auto-rickshaw for Namkum Bazaar. 4. Those coming from Jamshedpur road could get down at Namkum Bazzar and take the road to A.T.C. Residential Staff Fr. KC Philip, S.J., Superior, former South Asian assistancy delegate for formation, experienced in spiritual guidance, directs retreats. Fr. K.C. Philip is a Spiritual leader with vast knowledge on Ignatian Spirituality. He is specialized in Counseling and combines Eckhart Tolle, Mahatriya, Wayne Dyer, Neale etc. in achieving one s well-being. Sylvanus Kiro, S.J., former Novice Master and Jesuit Tertian Instructor, experienced in spiritual guidance, directing retreats. Fr. Sylvanus Kiro is a known figure in Jesuit formation, rich with experiences of guiding Jesuit Tertians for long years, is deep and solid in guiding Ignatian retreat.
