1 A Family of Faith Volume 10 Week 37 September 8, 2013 Twenty-Third Sunday in Ordinary Time Parish Mission Statement St. Kilian Parish is a Catholic community of faith responding to the call of Jesus Christ through the proclamation of Scripture, the celebration of Eucharist, and in living the sacramental life of the Church. We are committed to responding to each other through communities and ministries of faith and love, addressing our spiritual, social and educational needs. Every effort was made to include at least one photo of each family. The photos were used to create poster boards that capture our parish through the years. These poster boards could not have been made without the effort and support of all of your contributions. Due to time constraints and printing timelines, not all the pictures sent in may have been included and please accept our apologies. If you brought pictures to the office, they will be in a basket in the office for you to pick up at your convenience. Again, Thank You Very Much!!

3 St. Kilian Catholic Church Page 3 It s a good time to be Catholic. It s a good time to become Catholic. It s a good time to inquire about Catholicism. That s what we foster at the St. Kilian s Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) program. We help to form, inform, and transform those on the path of The Holy Way. If you know someone who is curious about Catholicism or interested in becoming Catholic, please encourage them to attend our sessions or look into our operation. Our next RCIA cycle begins Sept. 8th at the 9:00 A.M. mass with RCIA dismissal after the liturgy of the word. We break open the readings till 10:00 A.M. After a 15:00 min. break we hold a catechesis session from 10:15 to 11:15. The dismissal sessions continue throughout the year with a few exceptions, join us any time. For the first few weeks, find the RCIA MEET HERE sign at the courtyard gazebo. There will be someone there to review the dismissal procedure for all participants. Here s what we ask: Don t keep it a secret, tell someone. If you re not sure what we do, visit a session - all are welcome. Pray for us. Also, do not park along Montanoso, where the No Parking signs are. It is imperative that we do not park in our neighbors parking lots on Sundays or on other Mass days, or for any services and major events. These parking restrictions are in force now and at all times. Please be considerate. It is absolutely vital that we abide by these restrictions and thereby respect the wishes of our neighbors and the laws of our city. THANK YOU for your patience and your cooperation!!!
