Baby Grissom #2 is on the way. He s originally from Oklahoma. He was trained and served as a Pastor at Willow Creek Community Church in Chicago for 8 ½ years. He is currently serving as the Connections and Evangelism Pastor at Cherry Hills Community Church in Highlands Ranch, CO. Tyler started Alpha recently at Cherry Hills Community Church and has ran 4 courses. He ll start #5 on Jan 25. tgrissom@chcc.org CHURCH OF THE RESURRECTION // LEAWOOD, KS Jeff Kirby Jeff currently serves as the Minister of Alpha and Men s Ministry at The United Methodist Church of the Resurrection in Leawood, Kansas, and has been on staff since He has more than 20 years experience as a Senior Pastor both in the United States and Canada. Jeff has served as a church planter, a national and international educator and conference speaker. Jeff has been involved in teaching and training pastors in the Alpha Course since His teaching ministry and training of leaders has taken him to most major U.S. cities and over 25 nations abroad. Jeff did his graduate studies at Regent College in Vancouver Canada. jeff.kirby@cor.org Michelle Kirby Michelle has been on staff at The United Methodist Church of the Resurrection in Leawood, Kansas USA since July Currently she serves as Associate Director of Discipleship where she provides shared leadership and integrated oversight for all discipleship and small group ministry efforts. Her position includes curriculum writing and development, teaching, leadership development and managing a team of staff and volunteers. Michelle has been involved in Alpha at her church since 2000 and has been a guest speaker at several regional and international Alpha conferences.michelle.kirby@cor.org

2 Dave MaGee Dave is the Director of Student Ministries at The United Methodist Church of the Resurrection in Leawood, Kansas. He graduated from Duke University Divinity School with a Master of Divinity degree and has been in full-time youth ministry in Texas and Kansas since dave.magee@cor.org Chris Abel Chris currently serves as Young Adult Pastor at The United Methodist Church of the Resurrection. He joined the staff in July Chris has served in Youth Ministry as well as Campus Pastor of a church plant at a United Methodist Church in St. Louis, Missouri. Chris completed seminary in Washington, DC. chris.abel@cor.org Matt Freeman Matt is a Lay Leader at The United Methodist Church of the Resurrection and is assisting in Alpha for young families. Heather Smith Heather is a Lay Leader at The United Methodist Church of the Resurrection and is assisting in Alpha for the Young Adults Ministry. THE CHAPEL // LIBERTYVILLE, IL Scott and Tammy Chapman Scott is senior pastor of The Chapel, which is a church he planted in 1994, in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. He is also on the directional team of Christ Together, an organization which aims to unify the broader Church to consistently demonstrate and communicate the gospel of Jesus Christ to every man, woman, and child in America. Scott knows John Wentz and Mark Emery, who have both invited him personally to participate in Experience Alpha. One of our church campuses has run Alpha a few times. 3 THE CROSSING CHURCH // LAS VEGAS, NV Jared Meyer Jared Meyer began as a table host at The Crossing Church as we implemented Alpha. After two sessions he transitioned to Director. Jared is looking forward to kicking-off our winter session this February. jaredmmeyer@gmail.com EVERGREEN CHURCH // BOTHELL, WA Phil and Leslie McCallum Phil is the Lead Pastor of Evergreen Church in Bothell WA (Seattle, USA). He s been hosting Alpha courses since 2000 in Australia, Hawaii and now Seattle. Phil and his church are passionate about the Alpha course, and the new version of the DVDs. Evergreen is an autonomous, elderled church, planted in They have close relationship with other churches whose pastors also give covering to their eldership as they lead the church. These include Willow Creek in Chicago, Gateway in Dallas, New Life in Colorado Springs and New Hope in Honolulu. Phil s wife, Leslie, is joining him on this trip to see and hear all the exciting things of Alpha. phil@evergreenchurch.tv FOCUS Kevin Cotter Kevin Cotter serves FOCUS (the Fellowship of Catholic University Students) as the Sr. Director of Curriculum. Kevin holds a bachelor s degree in Religious Studies from Benedictine College and a master s degree in Sacred Scripture from the Augustine Institute. He is the author of Through the Year with Pope Francis, A Year of Mercy with Pope Francis and Pope Francis and the Joy of the Family. 5 ONE HOPE // POMPANO BEACH, FL Bruce Yee Bruce currently serves as the Director of Strategic Partnerships at OneHope. He and his family returned from Beijing, China last year after serving 5 years as the Regional Director for OneHope. While in Beijing, they hosted an Alpha group made up of expats and local Chinese and had a great experience! bruceyee@onehope.net ST ANDREW S CATHEDRAL // SINGAPORE Hambali Leonardi Hambali is the service pastor of a new contemporary service to reach out to young urbanites in the heart of the city. He has been in full-time ministry at St Andrew s Cathedral since 2000, working mainly with children and youth. He used to help out at his local church s Alpha course in the early 2000s. hambali@cathedral.org.sg Joel and Cheryl Tan Joel has been on church staff since the beginning of this year. He also serves as a worship team leader and the bassist. His wife (Cheryl Tan) and him are also Connect Group leaders of a group of about 14 young adults. They have experience in Alpha as helpers during group discussions. They are also serving in the starting of a new young adults/youth Service in the church. Cheryl is a lay leader at St Andrew s Cathedral. She works as an associate psychologist in the government sector. She serves in the worship team, and as a Sunday School teacher for youths between years old. He is an Associate Pastor with Trinity Grace Church in Queens and is the Executive Director of Renew Queens, NY. Jenavene is a leader in the worship community at Trinity Grace Church in NY, serves as a leader in the Youth Group of Redeemer Presbyterian in Manhattan, and leads out Alpha as a lay leader through Trinity Grace Church.

6 WESTSIDE: A JESUS CHURCH // PORTLAND, OR Tim McDonald Tim McDonald serves as Pastor of Mission & Leadership at Westside: A Jesus Church in Portland, Oregon. He has ministry experience in church planting (in Scotland), evangelism training (in India and Nepal) and gives leadership to Westside school of Mission, Theology and Worship. Tim has a MA in Theological Studies from Multnomah University. He is married to Britany, and they have 4 amazing children. Tim has attended Experience Alpha and started running an Alpha at our church this past year with plans for a few more in tim.mcdonald@westsideajc.org Tony Viducich Tony serves as Executive Pastor of Operations at Westside: A Jesus Church, in Portland, Oregon. He is married to Beth, and they have 4 adult children and 6 grandchildren. 7 ALPHA USA Todd Proctor Todd Proctor is Lead Pastor of Coast Hills Church and serves as Church Networks Director on the Lead Team of Alpha USA. Todd was a founder and long time leader of Rock Harbor, a church of five communities across Orange County with a unique call towards raising up a new generation of Christ followers. He also pioneered The Stirring, regional experiences uniting local churches in worship of God. Todd lives in Costa Mesa with his wife Lisa, and their four children. todd.proctor@alpha.org Craig Springer Craig has a strong personal history with Alpha from his time at Willow Creek Community Church (he was the Lead Pastor of the first campus to start Alpha) and Cherry Hills Community Church where he was an Executive and Teaching Pastor. He and his wife Sarah, were also church planters in Prague, Czech Republic. Craig has a deep passion for the local church and a broad personal church background including Vineyard churches, Willow Creek, evangelical Presbyterian churches, and international church planting. As a result, he views Alpha as a vital tool for all churches. He is a father to two children, Isaiah and Isabelle. They enjoy spending time as a family hiking and skiing in the mountains of Colorado (and let s be honest; plenty of grocery shopping and suburb hopping too). They love to party, play and dig into the everyday challenges of life together. craig.springer@alpha.org John Wentz John Wentz serves on the Alpha USA Lead Team and oversees the ministry of Alpha across the US. In the past 17 years he has served as a church planter, campus minister at three different universities, and is also an author of The Coaching Guidebook, A Practical Guide to Coaching Ministry Leaders. Most recently, John has served at Community Christian Church in Chicago Illinois as the Small Group Director of their original campus and Adult Ministry Champion overseeing their 12 campuses small group directors. John is passionate about helping churches create missional environments where people can explore faith, ask questions and share their point of view. John lives with his wife Shannon and their three children in Oswego, IL. and considers himself to be a donut connoisseur. john.wentz@alpha.org Michelle Johnson Michelle helped run Alpha at Rock Harbor Church in Costa Mesa prior to joining Alpha USA where she helps manage events and works closely with churches in the California network.
