3 JULY 1, 2018 PAGE 3 LOVE INC. MEAL PROGRAM St. Clare is scheduled to serve our next Love Inc. meal on Wednesday, July 25. We still need volunteers to cook, bake and serve the meal. There is a sign-up book at the Information Station in the Narthex. The meal is served at 5 PM. Please have the food at church by 4 PM. NORWAY HELPING HANDS FOOD PANTRY Food pantries experience a drop in donations during the summer months when demand often increases. The Human Concerns Committee would like to remind you to support our local food pantry, Norway Helping Hands. Each month we have a featured food and non-food item. July s food item is Jello and pudding and the non-food item is paper towels. Items can be placed in the baskets in the Narthex. Thank you for your generosity. 4 JULY 1, 2018 PAGE 4 CHRISTIAN FORMATION CORNER Kostyn's Mission Trip to Kenya Fundraising I will be traveling to Kitale, Kenya for a month-long mission trip with Vicentian Lay Missionaries from August 1st-31st, 2018! In Kitale, myself and a group of four others will facilitate a camp for children ages 6-16, many of whom face hardship in their communities and home life. If you are interested in finding out more, check out VLM's website: The funds are used to pay for the flight, vaccines, and the remaining funds are delivered to the Daughters of Charity in order to fund their operations in both Kenya and Ethiopia. Cleaning out a jewelry box? St. Ann Center for Intergenerational Care will put those out-of-style necklaces, broken bracelets, too-small rings and more (even single earrings) to GREAT use. Vintage jewelry, costume jewelry we can use it all. Our knowledgeable volunteers will sort it, clean it, repair it or imaginatively reinvent it, price it and sell it. ALL proceeds fund the necessary health and wellness day services for our clients of all ages and abilities, from tiny infants to the frail elderly to those with severe disabilities. Our sales are legendary and the donations so appreciated! You can drop pieces off at the front desk of either of our Milwaukee campuses, at 2801 E. Morgan Ave. or 2450 W. North Ave., anytime between 6 AM and 6 PM Monday through Friday. You can also call Ross at (414) if you need items picked up. Thank you so much! Thank you and God bless, Kostyn Tyksinski Mission Intern with the Riverwest Food Pantry Riverwest Food Pantry's Mission House in Milwaukee is now receiving applicants ages for their year-long missionary internship which includes room, board and a monthly stipend. Interns live together in Catholic justice formation in the neighborhoods of Riverwest and Harambee. Interns are trained in assisting the poor, running community meals, urban gardens, food rescue, learning non-profit and neighborhood development leadership skills!
