1 HOLY FAMILY REGIONAL SCHOOL JESUS CHRIST IS THE REASON FOR OUR SCHOOL Wednesday, January 9, 2019 Issue 8 Dear Parents, Many blessings to you and your family as we begin 2019! This past weekend we celebrated the Feast of the Epiphany. It is the celebration of the three kings who followed the light of a distant star to worship Jesus as the newborn King of the Jews. They found him, not in a palace surrounded by signs of wealth and might, but as a helpless baby in the arms of Mary, his mother. The wise men had the faith and wisdom to see in the baby the promised Messiah. Christ shows himself to us, too, and comes into our lives in many ways and through many people. If we are people of faith, we will find him in these little epiphanies. We will offer him our own gifts-- our prayers and worship, our loving service of others, and our constant faith, even when it might seem hard to find him. As we enter the new year, open yourself to God s calling, and together let s bring his message to our children and our world. I want to thank all of you who participated in our Christmas Outreach by making blankets for children in local hospitals. The video messages of love that accompanied the blankets were very inspiring and uplifting. We look forward to receiving responses from the recipients. If your family receives a response from one of the children, please let us know. We would like to learn how this project has impacted others. Thank you for being so generous this year. Just before Christmas the tickets for the Gala Dinner were made available online. The Gala will take place on Saturday, February 9th at the Royal Park Hotel in downtown Rochester. It will be a beautiful evening to celebrate our children and our blessings. We are all looking forward to outstanding entertainment provided by the talented musical group, Intrigue, as well as, delicious food, fun fellowship, and plenty of great items to bid on. There are still opportunities to support the auction as a business or family sponsor. Click on the following link to purchase tickets or a sponsorship. Event Tickets and Sponsorships As we enter 2019, may our loving and generous Lord continue to bless you and your family. We have been blessed in so many different ways! Always know that you and your family are continually in my prayers. Sincerely in Christ, Mr. Jon Myers Principal
