Your glory is revealed throughout Your creative design in nature, humanity, and all throughout the universe. Even as You rule over nature and the universe I am grateful that You are the Supreme Ruler of my life and indeed are mindful of me. Bring into conformity my thoughts and actions as You search my mind and know my heart. I am in awe of Your greatness and declare with the salmist today, O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is Your name in all the earth! Amen. WHAT IS A HRISTIAN While we might consider ourselves relatively good the fact is we are naturally opposed to God and His plan for our lives. This nature and the things we do because of this nature result in sin. But God loves us and has overcome sin for us. He did this by sending His Son, Jesus, to bridge the gap created by sin. Now we are no longer separated from God because Jesus has brought us back together: God was in hrist, reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their sins against them. (II orinthians 5: 19) The one who believes this is a hristian. REGARDING HOLY OMMUNION. Members of sister Lutheran congregations are, of course, invited to join us at the Lord's Table. Others are requested to consult with the astor before communing with us the first time. In this way you will help us be responsible in our administration of the Sacrament and you, in turn, will be blessed as you commune with us. NOTE: In the center of each communion tray are a few glasses with non-alcohol wine for those who are on alcohol restrictive medications or wish to abstain from alcohol for personal reasons. 20 Growing in Wisdom and in Grace at GI... This week at GI, we learned about Solomon's temple. We talked about how beautiful he decorated the temple and that it was the place where they worshipped. We talked about how we still decorate and make our churches beautiful. We do this to set our places of worship apart from others because they are holy. The bible verse for the week was, "You are God's temple and...god's spirit dwells in you." 1 orinthians 3:16 Activities Bowling filed trips!
