Thank You for Your grace and mercy as we confess to habits of thought and action that are wrong and unhelpful. Amen. Thank God for the Government s decision to reduce the stake per spin on Fixed Odds Betting Terminals from 100 to 2. Bible Reading Challenge This Challenge is based on carefully selected short Bible passages 50 from the Old Testament and 50 from the New Testament that helps you get the big picture of the Bible. Set aside a special time and place to read the Bible each day. PRAY before you read, asking God to help you understand. READ the Bible passage, and then REFLECT on the passage. The number shown in the brackets relates to the reflection in the helpful study guide. Lord, please help people who have taken positive steps to overcome a harmful habit or been set free from an addiction to alcohol, drugs, pornography or gambling. May they sustain their resolve and find the support they need. Amen. Pray about the increase of drug use in prisons, resulting in serious addiction, violence and instability. Pray for prison governors, officers and outside agencies that are trying to find ways to change the culture that exists. THANKSGIVING: for organisations that help people to overcome addictions. Remember their staff as they undertake this challenging work and pray for healing for their clients. Both Church buildings are fitted with a loop system. CALEDONIA HOUSING There will be a service in the Lounge at Caledonia this afternoon at 2.30pm to which you are invited. THE PASTORAL CARE GROUP will meet on Tuesday 15th January at 7.30pm in Dunbarney Church Hall. We will be exploring how we can support those who are ill at home and in hospital. The discussions will be led by Susan Thomson, a member of our group and Charge Nurse for Palliative Care at PRI, and Anne Findlay, Chaplain for PRI. All interested in this topic are welcome to join us. For further information call Gillian on THE MINISTRY GROUP will meet on Wednesday 16 th January in the Manse. A JOINT SERVICE will be held at 10.30am on Sunday 20th January in Dunbarney Church. This has been requested by the Local Church Review team and the timing has been agreed by the Kirk Session. A simple lunch of soup, bread, tea, coffee and traybakes will be served to everyone who can come along to the Church Hall at Dunbarney after morning worship.

If you wish to read the report sent to the LCR team there are still copies available in the vestibule of both churches. THE KIRK SESSION s next meeting is on Monday 21 st January at 7.30pm in the Church Hall. THE WOMAN S GROUP meet on Wednesday 23 rd January for our film night. All ladies are welcome to come along to the hall at 7.30pm. Refreshments will be on hand. JARS OF GRACE Please hand in your Jars of Grace to the Church soon. The money raised for the UNICEF appeal will be used for working with children in danger and help protect children in emergencies. Your support is appreciated.
