3 Missions Membercare Workshop How do we care for our missionaries and their families whilst they are in the missions field and in another country? Come hear from Katherine Tan, Personnel Executive and Consultant in Wycliffe Singapore and Wycliffe Asia-Pacific. Her field experience in the Philippines and in other countries has helped her understand first-hand the challenges of cross-cultural living/work and the need for good membercare. She is also serving in the Foreign Domestic Workers ministry in her home church and has shared her experience in membercare work at the Asia Membercare Network seminars, FOMOs and GoForth worship sessions plus denominational mission agencies/organisations/church seminars over the years. 5 PLMC Camp 2019 Logo Design Competition In conjunction with our PLMC Church camp to be held from Jun 2019, we hope to tap on your creativity to design a God-inspired logo that best represents both the camp theme Thy Kingdom Come, and all of us! ELIGIBILITY The competition is open to all who attend PLMC worship services except PLMC Staff and Church Camp 2019 Committee Members and their families SUBMISSION All submissions should comply with the specifications stated below. Deadline for submission of entries is Sunday, 4 Nov Please your submission to plmc.tkc@gmail.com. SPECIFICATIONS 1. The logo should be based on the camp theme Thy Kingdom Come. Please include your description for the logo symbolism, designer s concept and intent together with your submission below. 2. Only digitally painted/created logos in vector,.jpg,.png or.tif formats are accepted. Scanned drawings/paintings are not accepted. Images can be larger than, but must be no smaller than, 7 cm x 7 cm at 300 DPI. The file size should be no more than 5MB. 3. There should be NO graduation of colours in the logo i.e. only use solid colours. 4. You are welcome to submit more than one design. Page 5

6 5. All submitted work must be original and not based on any pre-existing design. By joining this competition, the participant guarantees that his/her work is original. The logo will be printed on the church camp T-shirt and used in publicity collaterals related to the camp. SELECTION AND AWARDING OF WINNER We will only award ONE winning entry for the logo design. The winner will be decided by the Church Camp Committee, and the decision is final. The winning entry and winner will be unveiled during the services on 18 Nov He/she will be awarded a $100 CapitaLand voucher. PrayerFocus MISSIONS MEKONG Boonchiaw 1) Pray for God s providence as God is Good Church plans to extend and enlarge their church building to cater to 600 members. 2) Pray for the missions teams going to serve with Boonchiaw in October, November and December KG & C 1) Praise God for the opportunity to spend the last three months at Tung Ling Bible School, to dwell in His presence and soak in His Word. 2) Pray that their words and actions be purposeful in connecting with the young people towards deeper relationships and may their hearts and minds be open to His message of love and grace. B & L 1) Pray for B & L as they minister to 3 couples. Pray for a breakthrough in their marriages. 2) Pray for B & L as they minister to 120 ex-addicts/trafficked women, on the Father heart of God. Pray for a time of healing for them. J & C 1)Pray for continual leading from the Lord and His Shalom in this season. EAST ASIA Songs 1) Pray for positive and fruitful responses at a couple of key missions seminars/meetings that the Songs will be leading. 2) Pray that one of the TAN-NW families will have total assurance of the Father s peace and protection in the midst of intensifying security in their location. 7 SKI 1) Pray for the university to receive favour and approval from the authorities to run as an independent university. 2) Pray for SKI s physical and mental strength to face the challenges in the new semester. Eve 1) Pray for Eve s health and stress level at work anxiety from the new responsibilities she has is present, despite her knowing that God is in control. 2) Pray for Eve to experience more breakthroughs as her discipleship group heads toward the end of their programme with a retreat in November. CENTRAL ASIA Zahra 1) Pray for salvation of Zahra s family members her father, sister and her family, as well as brother. 2) Pray for Zahra s safety, to adjust to weather and local culture. 3) Pray for Zahra to have good time management, to take time with God and continue to grow in His Word. ZY 1) Pray for ZY to have joy and encouragement and refreshment. Pray for Holy Spirit s guidance and renewed strength. 2) Pray for ZY and fellow workers to receive wisdom to know how to minister to ex-drug offenders. MIDDLE EAST CT 1) Pray for CT to have a fruitful time and draw close to God at the 6-week prayer and intercession internship in Cyprus starting 1 October ) Pray that CT is able to obtain all the necessary documents required for her one-year volunteer application in the country that she will be going to by mid October PARA-CHURCH WORKERS Fellowship of Evangelical Students Siah May Lan 1) Pray for the successful launch of the FES Morph missions program in late October and the desired expected student sign-ups. 2) Pray for May Lan to experience complete healing from hyperthyroidism. YWAM Singapore Beatrice Wee 1) Pray for Beatrice to have rest, wisdom and courage with responsibilities at work. 2) Pray for Beatrice to have God s protection at work. YWAM Singapore Tessa Choo 1) Pray for Tessa and David as they are in a pioneering team for a home in Geylang to facilitate a healing family environment. Pray they will hear from God His intentions for the home as they are in the midst of finishing the physical set up of the place. Navigators Singapore Roger Yeo 1) Pray for Roger and Pearlyn to continue to persevere in sacrificial service as they continue to labour in the harvest field 1 Cor. 15:58. 2) Pray that the NavTech members would grow in their love for God, the Word of God and one another as in John 13: Wycliffe Singapore Grace Tan 1) Praise God for a wonderful vacation in August catching up with family and friends, and also spending some time with God at a silent prayer retreat. Pray that Grace can now catch up with work and get into translation checking. Page 7

8 2) Pray that the Wycliffe office will have a smooth and hassle-free move sometime in the next month. CRU Nigel Ho 1) Pray for a good follow-up with a new believer who just received Christ into her life. 2) Pray for God s wisdom and direction in Nigel s life as he plans for ministry and prepares for a devotion to be shared to Cru Singapore staff. HIS MEDIA In HiS Media, volunteers contribute their talents in the areas of live video production, projection, photography, graphic design and writing. Volunteers provide photographic and journalistic coverage of church events and activities for the PLMC website, social media pages as well as church publications such as Heartbeat. WORSHIP & MUSIC MINISTRY The Worship & Music (W&M) Ministry oversees and serves the 9am Sanctuary Service and 11.15am Celebration Service. We have a huge family of volunteers serving as worship leaders, musicians, choir, music ensemble, singers, ushers, floral stewards, Page 8
