3 TASTE OF TRINITY Three times per year, Trinity s Community Groups host a Sunday luncheon called Taste of Trinity right after church in honor of our most recent newcomers. If you re new to Trinity, we would love for you to be our guest on Sunday, August 27th, from 12:15-1:30 p.m. You ll have a chance to meet other Trinity newcomers as well as getting to know the folks who are serving as your hosts. While we re eating dessert, Mike Rasmussen will briefly share about Trinity s vision. Please register online or register in person at the Connect Desk where someone will be there to help you. Childcare is provided by reservation. ADULT SUMMER SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS What is your actual belief about the causation and results of the crucifixion and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ? Has it become white noise or is it the lens in which you see God, yourself and others? Can the cross truly free men and women from hardened hearts due to past committed sins both by and against them? Come join elder Steve LeBlanc as he teaches and unpacks the truths about the Gospel. Please join us for this 6-week Sunday mornings at 9:15 AM in room 230 to learn and discuss.
4 SAVE THE DATE FOR OUR NEXT ELDER-LED PRAYER 6 AUGUST Our next Elder-led Prayer will be Sunday, August 6 at 5:00 pm. Come join us for an elder-led prayer service where in community we are privileged to busy ourselves in prayer as a community and for our community as we seek the gospel to take root in our lives and to go out where we live, work and play. EXTENDING THE GOSPEL TO THE WORLD Update from Rich and Martha Millhouse, REACH Global, Hungary Writing you from our All Europe Conference in Slovenia where we are having a wonderful time of refreshing and reconnecting. Along with our prayer requests I wanted to update you on the pastoral search at Danube Church. The church has called me to be the next pastor of the church! We are very excited about this opportunity. The position will begin on September 1 and I will have a 75% time commitment to the church. This is a great opportunity and extension of our Strategic Partnering team s ministry. What a strategic place to work with missionaries, international students, embassy personnel and international business families. I will also have the opportunity and flexibility to continue my traveling and teaching responsibilities with the Strategic Partnering team throughout the year. The financial arrangement is that the church has offered to support us through
5 ReachGlobal, and therefore help complete our financial needs so that we are fully supported. Thank you for all your prayers and support! We miss you all! Paula has been in and out of unhealthy relationships for years and is pregnant again. She plans to parent but knows she is in a downward spiral. Her patient advocate was able to share the Gospel with her and she accepted Christ as her Savior! Paula also committed to a life-style change and says she wants to get involved with a church. Praise God for this changed life. PRAISE REPORT! I had asked you to pray for Summer. She is a teenager and came to Real Options wanting an abortion. After following up, we learned Summer has chosen LIFE! She also told her parents who are fully supporting her and their grandchild. Pray for Julieta. She is a high school student who does not want her parents to find out she is pregnant. She would rather parent than abort but feels like abortion might be the only way to keep this a "secret". Pray she would be able to speak to her parents and that they would love and embrace her. Pray for Cassie. She has several children and she and her fiancé have already had one abortion. They are now wanting to abort again. Cassie's patient advocate was able to share the Gospel with her and she did accept Christ as her Savior! Pray the Lord would soften both of their hearts toward this child, and Cassie would grow in her new faith. ESL Please thank and praise God for: a well attended ESL information meeting and new volunteers signed up for ESL ministry this year and for returning volunteers. new opportunities even this week for sharing the gospel with our students, for their questions about Christ and for TPC people who are excited about
