Welcome TO OUR GUESTS We want to welcome you today! More information about our church is available on our website at fpcmacon.org. SPIRITUAL CARE If you would like to speak to someone about what it means to know Jesus Christ or you have any spiritual need or question, please speak to one of the pastors after the service. CHILDREN S CHECK-IN We are committed to the highest level of protection possible for the children placed in our care on Sundays and at all church events. For this reason, we require parents of nursery-aged children to check in their children before they go to the nursery. Check in is available at the terminals in the Brickyard or at the desk in the nursery. The process is quick and easy and volunteers are available to help. Visiting parents of children ages 4K through sixth grade may check in at the Cornerstone desk with any of our Children s Ministry staff or volunteers. CHILDREN S BIBLE LESSON We offer a specifically designed program for children in pre-k through first grade during the morning services. Leaders will escort the children from the sanctuary to their classroom before the Hymn of Preparation. Parents are welcome to accompany them to observe where to pick up their children following the service. Parents of children in pre-k through first grade are asked to pick up their children following Sunday School or the 11:15 AM worship service. NURSERY Nurseries are provided for infants and toddlers during the worship services and Sunday School. We provide a mother/infant room located in the nursery with a live video feed of the service, as well as a cry room downstairs from the sanctuary for parents of fussy children with an audio feed. Ushers are available to direct you. FLOWERS The sanctuary flowers are given today to the glory of God and in loving memory of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Felton Fincher and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Felton Fincher, Jr. by Harriet Fincher Comer. Hearing assistance devices are in the Narthex for worshippers with a hearing disorder. 2

Corporate Worship We welcome you to our worship service today. It is our sincere hope and prayer that you will find your worship experience to be encouraging, challenging, invigorating, and renewing you in the knowledge of God and the wonderful hope that we have through the Gospel of Christ. Most of all, we hope that God will be glorified by the worship we render to him. WELCOME CALL TO WORSHIP Great and amazing are your deeds, O Lord God the Almighty! Just and true are your ways, O King of the nations! Who will not fear, O Lord, and glorify your name? For you alone are holy. All nations will come and worship you, for your righteous acts have been revealed. - Revelation 15:3-4 PRAYER FOR GOD S PRESENCE 3

HYMN OF PRAISE - We Will Not Cease the Gospel to Proclaim We will not cease the Gospel to proclaim. Nor dare we ever turn from it in shame. It is God s pow r to save in Jesus name. Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Both Jew and Greek, and all those who believe, By faith alone the gift of life receive. By grace alone, to Christ alone we cleave. Hallelujah! Hallelujah! God s righteousness is in the Gospel shown. Christ Jesus died for sinners to atone. God is both just and justifies His own! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Those trusting Christ shall never come to shame. Our hearts believe; our tongues confess His name. Jesus is Lord! His wonders we acclaim. Hallelujah! Hallelujah! CORPORATE SCRIPTURE READING If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. For the Scripture says, Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame. For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who call on him. For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. - Romans 10:9-13 ***Seating Interlude*** 4

MISSIONARY REPORT Steve Williams SCRIPTURE READING As they were talking about these things, Jesus himself stood among them, and said to them, Peace to you! But they were startled and frightened and thought they saw a spirit. And he said to them, Why are you troubled, and why do doubts arise in your hearts? See my hands and my feet, that it is I myself. Touch me, and see. For a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see that I have. And when he had said this, he showed them his hands and his feet. And while they still disbelieved for joy and were marveling, he said to them, Have you anything here to eat? They gave him a piece of broiled fish, and he took it and ate before them. Then he said to them, These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you, that everything written about me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled. Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures, and said to them, Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer and on the third day rise from the dead, and that repentance for the forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things. And behold, I am sending the promise of my Father upon you. - Luke 24:

HYMN OF RESPONSE 6

CONGREGATIONAL PRAYER WORSHIP THROUGH GIVING (During the offering, please sign the Friendship Pad and pass it down.) Peace Like a River.. arr. Phillip E. Baker I've got peace like a river in my soul. I've got joy like a river in my soul. I've got love like a river in my soul. We encourage any children second grade and above to continue in corporate worship if the parent wishes. All others will leave through the left for Bible Lesson in Cornerstone. 7

HYMN OF PREPARATION - Metrical Setting of Psalm 73 (Verses 23-28) In sweet communion, Lord, With you I constantly abide; My hand you hold within your own To keep me near your side. Your counsel through my earthly way Shall guide me and control, And then to glory afterward You will receive my soul. Whom have I, Lord, in heaven but you, To whom my thoughts aspire? And having you, what more on earth Is there I can desire? Though flesh and heart should faint and fail, The Lord will ever be The strength and portion of my heart, My God eternally. To live apart from God is death; Tis good his face to seek. My refuge is the living God; His praise I long to speak. PREACHING OF GOD S WORD - Chip Miller Faith on Trial, Part 2 Psalm 73 8

BENEDICTION HYMN OF RESPONSE He Leadeth Me He leadeth me: O blessed thought! O words with heav nly comfort fraught! Whate er I do, where er I be, Still tis God s hand that leadeth me. Sometimes mid scenes of deepest gloom, Sometimes where Eden s bowers bloom, By waters calm, o er trouble sea, Still tis his hand that leadeth me. Refrain He leadeth me, he leadeth me, By his own hand he leadeth me: His faithful foll wer I would be, For by his hand he leadeth me. Lord, I would clasp thy hand in mine, Nor ever murmur nor repine; Content, whatever lot I see, Since tis my God that leadeth me. (Refrain) And when my task on earth is done, When, by thy grace, the vict ry s won, E en death s cold wave I will not flee, Since God through Jordan leadeth me. (Refrain) 9
