SPIRITUAL CARE If you would like to speak to someone about what it means to know Jesus Christ or you have any spiritual need or question, please speak to one of the pastors after the service. CHILDREN S CHECK-IN We are committed to the highest level of protection possible for the children placed in our care on Sundays and at all church events. For this reason, we require parents of nursery-aged children to check in their children before they go to the nursery. Check in is available at the terminals in the Brickyard or at the desk in the nursery. The process is quick and easy and volunteers are available to help. Visiting parents of children ages 4K through sixth grade may check in at the Cornerstone desk with any of our Children s Ministry staff or volunteers. CHILDREN S BIBLE LESSON We offer a specifically designed program for children in pre-k through first grade during the morning services. Leaders will escort the children from the sanctuary to their classroom before the Hymn of Preparation. Parents are welcome to accompany them to observe where to pick up their children following the service. Parents of children in pre-k through first grade are asked to pick up their children following Sunday School or the 11:15 AM worship service. NURSERY Nurseries are provided for infants and toddlers during the worship services and Sunday School. We provide a mother/infant room located in the nursery with a live video feed of the service, as well as a cry room downstairs from the sanctuary for parents of fussy children with an audio feed. Ushers are available to direct you. FLOWERS The sanctuary flowers are given today to the glory of God and in loving memory of Mr. and Mrs. O.F. Vance and Mr. and Mrs. William Poole Vance by Ann. Hearing assistance devices are in the Narthex for worshippers with a hearing disorder. 2

3 Corporate Worship We welcome you to our worship service today. It is our sincere hope and prayer that you will find your worship experience to be encouraging, challenging, invigorating, and renewing you in the knowledge of God and the wonderful hope that we have through the Gospel of Christ. Most of all, we hope that God will be glorified by the worship we render to him. CALL TO WORSHIP I will extol you, my God and King, and bless your name forever and ever. Every day I will bless you and praise your name forever and ever. Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised, and his greatness is unsearchable. One generation shall commend your works to another, and shall declare your mighty acts. On the glorious splendor of your majesty, and on your wondrous works, I will meditate. They shall speak of the might of your awesome deeds, and I will declare your greatness. AFFIRMATION OF FAITH All believers are united to Jesus Christ, their head, by his Spirit and by faith, and have fellowship with him in his grace, suffering, death, resurrection and glory. 5 SCRIPTURE READING For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery. For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. But if you bite and devour one another, watch out that you are not consumed by one another. - Galatians 5:1, CORPORATE CONFESSION OF SIN O most just and gracious God, we confess that we have sinned and fallen short of your holiness. We have hated our brother in our hearts. We have delighted in the savor of our own vengeance and not in your mercy. We too easily bear grudges against those made in your image. We have not loved others well, but have sought our desires above others. Be merciful toward us Father. Be reconciled to us, and let the blood of Jesus Christ cleanse us from all our sins. 5

CONGREGATIONAL PRAYER WORSHIP THROUGH GIVING (During the offering, please sign the Friendship Pad and pass it down.) We encourage any children second grade and above to continue in corporate worship if the parent wishes. All others will leave through the left for Bible Lesson in Cornerstone. 7
