Much was accomplished this year at the park due to the dedication and hard work of, Tony Lupetaliaami, Francis Hudak, Joey Witter, Leo Acosta, Mike Hudak and Mary Hudak.

Benedict Bridge and built a stage dedicated to Our Lady of Mount Carmel. Projects for next year are installing a zip line and a storage shed near the event sites.

E.A.M. Retreat Do You Have the Mercy App?

2 Much was accomplished this year at the park due to the dedication and hard work of, Tony Lupetaliaami, Francis Hudak, Joey Witter, Leo Acosta, Mike Hudak and Mary Hudak. Not in the picture were Matt Cannon, Dave Heath and David Hemnas who helped also with the handicapped bridge and stage. They completely redid the bridge which is called the St. Benedict Bridge and built a stage dedicated to Our Lady of Mount Carmel. Projects for next year are installing a zip line and a storage shed near the event sites. We are so grateful to the NOVEC Power Company for their donation of telephone poles and to Tony's cousin, Jonathan Divelo, who donated materials for the bridge and stage T.E.A.M. Retreat 2016 T.E.A.M. Retreat Do You Have the Mercy App? Exploring the role of technology in daily acts of mercy Our Blessed Mother came through and made it possible to offer a meaningful retreat despite the threat of a stormy day. What a miraculous day with the rain holding off till the evening and the sun peering through for a while. Thanks for all your prayers. Thank you so much to everyone for giving your all even though we only had a small turnout. We do believe that the people who were meant to be there were there by the grace and mercy of God! Fr. Guest's talk on the dangers of social media provided viable options for the teens to use to enhance their spirituality. Fr. Peffley's talk on M.E.R.C.Y provided us the ways to be brought closer to God and experience His mercy. The feedback of the teens showed a remarkably fruitful day gained from the spiritual exercises,talks, skits, fun activities and challenging games. This retreat showed how legionaries bonded together for a common cause can produce such a delightful and uplifting day. Blessed be God! To God be the glory! Next year is our 25th anniversary! 4 2016 Priest's Appreciation Picnic Thanks be to God we had a successful Priest's Appreciation Picnic with 68 people in attendance and 6 priests. The weather turned out beautiful, cool enough for a roaring bonfire and there was so much wonderful, delicious food! We were sorry to miss some of the priests who confirmed, but had some unexpected changes in their pastoral life, which is a priority. We truly missed them and we're hoping to see them at the next events. The karaoke was well received and we discovered hidden talents!!! We wish to thank all our volunteers who worked so hard to make the event possible. In particular, we wish to thank Tony, Leo, Joe, Mike, Francis, and Matt for assisting in completing the beautiful and sturdy handicapped bridge and covered stage! What major and helpful accomplishments! We wish to thank Ray for the mowing and for being our grill guy. Thanks to Dave and David, our neighbors, for helping also with mowing and repair of our tractors. 5 Saturday, September 24 Praise The Lord for a successful first Luau. It was unbelievable how many people came. The place was full. The food was overflowing and delicious! Tepua Hio Hio did a phenomenal and electrifying performance! Lita and Tony Lupetaliaama did a fantastic dance and it was amazing to see the tradition of throwing money at them as they danced. What a clever way of receiving more donations to the park. Some people gave envelopes with donations. The people looked happy and well entertained. Tony did fire dances and held the fire up with his feet and tongue! Fr. Peffley did his juggling with fire torches and was marvellous as ever! He blessed the new stage and bridge. Thank you everyone for your contributions and help. Let us do it again next year! Tony Lupetaliaami was chosen for the Patron of the Park award for His building skills and hard work really paid off with the new handicaped bridge and the pavilion/stage. He has more ideas for improvements and additions for next year. Congratulations, and thank you, Tony! Confirmation Retreat The Confirmation Retreat scheduled for HTJP had to be relocated to St. Clare of Assisi due to wet conditions at the park. It was a very blessed day.
