When our own land is troubled, be near to judge and save. For our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth. Those who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings like eagles. They shall run and not be weary, shall walk and not faint. If we, whether as individuals, as a church or as a nation, have turned from your way, help us through our worship and work to reverse our course and repent. 3 LITURGY OF REMEMBRANCE Remember, O Lord, what has happened to us (Lamentations 5:1). In Jesus Christ, God remembers us. Remember not the sins of our youth and our rebellious ways; according to your love remember us, for you are good, O Lord (Ps. 25:7). In Jesus Christ, God remembers us. Remember not against us the sins of our forbears, but save us with tender mercies (Ps. 79:8). In Jesus Christ, God remembers us. Remember, O Lord, your great mercy and love, for they are of old (Ps. 25:6). In Jesus Christ, God remembers us. The Lord knows how we are formed, and remembers that we are dust (Ps. 103:14). In Jesus Christ, God remembers us. After the flood, God remembered Noah and God s covenant with all living creatures (Gen. 8:1, 9:15). In Jesus Christ, God remembers us. PASTORAL PRAYER THE LORD S PRAYER Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
