3 ANNOUNCEMENTS Make plans now to join us for the grand Anniversary Celebration Weekend - September 23 and 24. The weekend begins with a catered dinner on Saturday, the 23 rd at 5:00 pm. After dinner and fellowship, there will be a program of celebration and remembrance (beginning at 7:00 pm), led by Pastor Ken and Pastor Greg Golden (Erma s son). Sunday (the 24 th ) worship will be a combined service at 10:00 am, with Pastor Golden preaching. Reservations are mandatory for the September 23 dinner. Meet in the café from 9:45-10:45 for a chance to catch up with your friends or meet some new ones! Consider joining The King s Book Study that meets the 4 th Tuesday of every month (6:30 pm) at King s Restaurant in Bentleyville for a small group book study and fellowship. Jumonville will host an Autism Family Retreat from September The vision of the Retreat is to create a weekend that will allow families of children living with austim to enjoy a mountaintop experience that will combine parental free time with an opportunity for quality family time. Hope is offered through worship, rest and relaxation in a safe Christian setting capable of caring for children with Autism. ALL AGES WELCOME. Cost: $120/adult; $60/child (3-11 yrs). 6 Please circle C on your Welcome Card and indicate how many dozen you will be baking. A few things to remember: Please pray for the effectiveness of this outreach. All cookies are to be homemade baked. Containers will be available in the narthex for your use. The cookies should be placed in an airtight bag (Ziploc, Hefty, etc.) inside the containers. Mark Grace UMC on the outside of the container, along with the kind of cookies and the # of dozen of cookies. Also note any ingredients that may cause allergic reactions such as nuts, peanut butter, chocolate, etc. No cookies that need to be refrigerated can be accepted. Deadline to bring cookies to Grace is Thursday, August 24 by 1:00 pm. The leaders of STAND would like to thank the cookie bakers for helping them reach out to the students at Cal U.
