4 A Study on the Book of 1 Corinthians Paul s first letter to the Corinthians addresses issues that are not uncommon to the Church today. We, as the church, need to be aware of these similar struggles that we have or could face, and hear what the Lord is teaching us through Paul. This module is suitable for everyone who desires to grow in faith, maturity and ministry. 5 Level 1: FAITH FOUNDATIONS Next Steps 2 This module is for new believers to understand what it means to be living as a disciple of Christ. Some of the topics that would be explored includes worship, fellowship, ministry and the Holy Spirit. This module is also for compulsory for those who have been baptised and are looking forward to their confirmation as members of St. Hilda s Church. We also welcome anyone who wishes to have a refresher course in their foundations to join us. Course Details: Date: Sundays, 7, 14, 21, 28 August, 4, 11 September from 1 3pm AND Saturday 17 September (Confirmation Weekend) from 9.30am 1pm Instructor: Rev David Lee *Lunch will be catered for all Sunday lessons at $24. (Please let us know if you do not need lunch when you register for this module.) Level 2: DEEPENING FAITH AND BEARING FRUITS Prayer Seminar Are you finding that Prayer is a drag. But I want to enjoy talking to God I do not know what to pray Others seem to enjoy prayer. What s wrong with God/me I do not hear from God. I want a deeper prayer life This 2-week seminar will provide opportunities for the participant to Review one s existing prayer life. Set goals to advance ones prayer life Listen to people in the bible who overcame their circumstances through prayer Identify and overcome obstacles to prayer Practicing quietness and listening to God Course Details: Date: Saturdays, 30 July & 6 August 2016 Time: 9.30am 1pm Instructor: Mr. Samuel Ratnam How to Help Disciple a New Believer Helping a new believer grow in Christ and helping him to develop a devotional relationship with God is very exciting and rewarding. This practical hands-on discipleship course hopes to give you some handles in helping to disciple a new believer and establish him on a healthy and exciting journey with the Lord Jesus. We will examine what Jesus said about being His disciple and discuss some basic principles of discipleship and understand the disciple making processes. We will also impart some practical ways of helping a new believer. This module is for confirmed members of St. Hilda s Church.
