Hungry workers sat down for a huge platter of fresh sandwiches and pop. Sad to report there were no leftovers! hank you to all who helped. 3 Behind the Crown Who s who At Crown B rad Wireman is Crown's volunteer Properties Manager. Brad has project managed the significant upgrades to our beloved Crown; contracting and overseeing work done by painters, plumbers, electricians, heating/cooling and fire sprinkler companies. He has worked tirelessly with our architect to gain city approvals and he has scrambled to meet the evolving needs of our preschool coping admirably with the increase in the scope of the project. Brad has spent countless hours maintaining both the interior and exterior of the church and the grounds. He has researched LED lighting updates and written grants to DE and Church Extension Fund. As a result, the church has received funding from these organizations to upgrade lighting for the parking lot and building interior. Brad personally installed the sound absorbing baffles in our Fellowship Hall, reducing the echo after carpets were removed. It was not a simple task. Brad's background includes time spent in construction -framing houses before the economic slowdown and later the electrical wiring of police car computers. He earned an Associates Degree from Baker College and is now a licensed building inspector. He currently works at Welker Engineered Products, generating product animations and videos, and most recently, he has worked on the creation of sample parts on a 3-D printer. Brad is married to Crown member Kath (Van Wulfen) Wireman. Kath attended Grand Valley and Oakland University earning her degrees in teaching. Currently, she co-directs Youth Activities here at church. Brad and Kathy live in Rochester Hills with their adorable daughter, Emma. We at Crown are so blessed by the Wireman Family and their servant hearts! J im Leinhos was born in Philadelphia, PA and grew up in Ft. Wayne, IN; the third child in a family of six children. As a child and teenager Jim enjoyed science, model rocketry, and Scouting, earning his Eagle Scout award. A desire to nurture his own faith while serving the church, coupled with his enjoyment of technology and a love for God s children has led him to serve in many ways at Crown of Life. Jim devotes countless hours to teaching Confirmation classes and he also leads I support here at church. He also consults with staff regularly to help prepare the weekly worship services. In his free time Jim is an avid wood-worker and Scout advisor. He hand crafted the kneeler that is at the altar in our sanctuary. Jim s first Call was to St. John Lutheran Church, Cypress, X as Assistant to the Pastor. He also served as the Youth Director. Jim later applied for a teaching position at omball High School where he taught upper level math and science courses and was the Junior Class Sponsor. While living in exas, Jim earned his Master s Degree in Educational Administration at Prairie View A&M University. His daughter, Kristin, was born in Houston in In order to be closer to family, and work in a Lutheran setting, Jim placed his name on the Call list and he accepted a Call to the Lutheran School Association in Decatur, IL. He taught 7th and 8th grade math and science and pursued a second Master s Degree at Sangamon State University in Computer Science. His son, Daniel, was born in Decatur in An offer from EDS led to a move to the Metro Detroit area where Jim worked directly with the Executive Staff of General Motors at the General Motors building and then the Renaissance Center. Jim then transitioned into a position with HP and was eventually hired directly by GM, where he now works as an engineer at the Warren ech Center. Jim met Linda at Concordia University, Ann Arbor, MI where they performed in the university s orchestra together. hey both graduated from Concordia University, Seward, NE where Jim earned his BS Degree in secondary education with a major in physics and a minor in chemistry.
