2 Good Morning and Welcome! Prayer before worship: O gracious Lord, help me set aside the worries and cares of the world that I may receive of Christ and be nourished with the Bread of Life, that your will may be done and your glory revealed, in Jesus' name. Amen. This Week s Prayer List remember these in prayer: We pray for a portion of Zion s family and friends John and Diane Miller; Emily Miller; John and Dorothy Miller; and Todd, Brittany, Lindsey, Abby, and Brooke Moen. We pray for those under the care of a physician, undergoing treatment and therapy; for all difficulties meeting obligations, and a strong faith for every need. Bring Kids to Zion! Suggest to others that they send their children to Zion School. Great student-to-teacher ratio makes for great learning opportunity, along with familiarity with the Bible and growth in faith. Volunteers interested in helping out on August 14 th, 21 st, and/or 28 th, contact Lila Rolf at Shifts are 12-4:30 PM. Mark your calendars! Sept. 13th at 7:00 PM there will be a free training session for CPR that will be available to all Zion Parents and congregational members. Cardiac arrest is America's leading cause of death, but the survival rate goes up enormously if CPR is started at once. The one-hour training session will show the basics of CPR. This is a great opportunity for anyone who has children or older parents. So save the date. More information will be coming. YOU ARE INVITED!!! Come one, come all and join the women of Zion Lutheran for a fun-filled, relaxing Day Tour on Thursday, September 13 th. We will meet at Zion at 8:45 AM and should be back by 4:30 PM. We ll travel to Apple Valley for a brief stop at Abdallah Candies where we will view the candy-making process, visit their gift shop, and leave with the gift of some chocolates. We ll then travel to the Ames Center where we will hav a delicious lunch and see the showing of Church Basement Ladies, in their newest production of You Smell Barn.
