2 EDUCATION FOR LIFE! Good Morning and Welcome! Prayer before worship: O Lord, you have equipped your people with salvation, righteousness, faith, truth, and the gospel of peace so that we may be defended from all evil; and the sword of the Spirit so that we may have the victory, in Christ. Bless us in Jesus' name. Amen. This Week s Prayer List remember these in prayer: We pray for a portion of Zion s family and friends Tom, Sarah, and Thomas (Jr.) Perry; Craig and Kristi Pexa; Rachel Pexa; Brett Pexa; Mike and Roxanne Pieper; and Rob, Jenise, and Michael Polingo. We pray for those under the care of a physician, undergoing treatment and therapy; for all difficulties meeting obligations, and a strong faith for every need. Sunday School will start up next week (September 9 th ) with a new addition to the mix. Zion will continue to have Sunday School for the little ones during the sermon on Sundays but Zion will be adding a Sunday School option for older kids (Grades 3 and up) following church each Sunday. The class will meet in Mr. M s room and run about 20 minutes. If you have any questions, contact Mr. Marcsisak. Otherwise, Pizza Party Fundraiser, hosted by the Huinkers, on September 16 th starting at noon and running through late afternoon. Join us for an afternoon of food and fun games and the big Game (Vikings vs. Packers). Come out and join the fun. Proceeds go to Zion Lutheran School. Sign-up in the lobby after church. Ladies Bible Study: Dear Ladies, the first day of school is around the corner, so it's also time to start up our Wednesday Bible study afternoons (September 12th). We will finish up our last 2 lessons from "Uninvited" and then move on to Proverbs. I have run-off copies from the "Uninvited" series, so don't think you can't come, because you don t have a book. Just bring along a Bible and a pen, and we'll study from 1:00 to 2:00. Book Club: September s book is Wonder by R.J. Palacio. Books will be in shortly. Stay tuned.

A covenant of grace and peace belongs to all who believe in him. C Only take care, and keep your soul diligently, lest you forget the things that your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from
