1 St. Luke s Service First Baptist Church Halifax October 22, 2017 St. Luke "We celebrate St. Luke's Sunday, a traditional day to emphasize the churches ministry of healing. Luke is mentioned three times in Paul's letters as "the beloved physician," but the Church remembers him chiefly as the author of two books which came to be included in the New Testament: The Gospel of Luke and the Acts of the Apostles. We celebrate St. Luke each year close to his feast day, October 18th. First Baptist has celebrated this service for the past 19 years."
