4 Parish Outreach Group will meet on Thursday, June 8th at 6:30 PM. Summer Coffee Hour: Sign Up! In order to continue to offer hospitality following Sunday Liturgy for the summer, we are seeking individuals/groups of individuals/families to bring baked goods for Coffee Hour, and assist with set-up and clean-up. We have approximately people staying for Coffee Hour during the summer. So far, the month of June is covered; we need volunteers for July and August. Please see the sign-up sheets in the hall. Thank you! Camp Nazareth Family Day is Sunday, June 11th. (Info on facing page.) Join with others from our Diocese and beyond for a day of fellowship and fun. Regarding services on June 11th... Everyone is encouraged to attend Divine Liturgy at Camp Nazareth at 10:00 AM, celebrated by His Grace, Bishop Gregory and diocesan clergy. (Even if you don t participate in the rest of Family Day, you can still go there for Liturgy!) As is customary in our parish, for the benefit of those not going to Camp, we will offer a Pro-Liturgy (Obidnitsa, Typika) service at 8:00 AM. (Holy Communion will not be distributed at this service.) Remember: Camp Nazareth Family Day Raffle Tickets are available in our church office for a donation of $20. Calling All Medical Personnel! Do you work in the medical field? Have you ever wondered if you can offer your medical skills in a region of the world where access to primary care is limited? Have you heard God speak in your heart about serving Him but you really weren t sure whether that was practical? If so, OCMC Health Care Teams need you! By participating on an OCMC health care outreach, you will treat illnesses, care for the poor and needy, offer public health training and be a witness of our Orthodox Faith. Health care providers are needed! See information below. Our own Dr. Henry Van Zanten will be going on the OCMC Mission Trip to Guatemala in November. If any in the medical field want to go on this mission trip, Family First SwiftCare has offered to match any donations. Talk to Dr. Henry if interested. OCMC Needs YOU For Mission Teams in 2017! Aug 25 - Sep 3 AND Nov KENYA: Lead a youth camp program in Nyeri. Oct 5 16 Mentor youth at an Orthodox school in Nairobi. Dec 6 16 MEXICO Offer youth and adult catechism in Vera Cruz; Spanish-speakers needed. Aug 12 19

6 Local Cultural Event SIMPLY SLAVIC, the festival created specifically to celebrate Youngstown s Slavic community (Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Macedonia, Montenegro, Poland, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Ukraine, and Carpatho-Rusyns) will take place on Saturday, June 17th, 2017 from Noon to Midnight on Federal Plaza East in Downtown Youngstown. ADMISSION IS $4.00. CHILDREN 12 AND UNDER ARE FREE. FREE PARKING WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE COVELLI CENTER. The event will include live music, folk dance performances, homemade food, children s learning areas, educational exhibits, workshops, and ethnic vendors. Visit for more information. This year, Fr. David was asked by the Simply Slavic organizers to offer a prayer at the Opening Ribbon Cutting at 11:45 AM in the Food Tent. Come by and show your support!

7 The 2nd Annual Diocesan Stewardship Retreat will be held September 22-24, 2017 at Camp Nazareth. It will be an exciting and motivational experience for the Priest, Stewardship Coordinators, Parish Council Members, and all parishioners. Two guest speakers will be presenting the retreat: Friday night will be Mother Christophora, Abbess of the Orthodox Monastery of the Transfiguration in Ellwood City, and Saturday will be Bill Marianes from the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese. There is no cost to attend the retreat. Please plan to attend!
