There is a required Baptism class for the parents to attend prior to the baptism. Please contact the parish office to make arrangements. MARRIAGE: Engaged couples should contact the parish office at least six months in advance. Diocesan regulations require a marriage preparation program for all couples. Ask for a parish policy brochure at the parish office. RELIGIOUS EDUCATION PROGRAMS: The parish religious education programs, grades 1-8, help bring about God s kingdom by proclaiming and teaching God s word, celebrating the sacraments, and placing value on service to all people. Call the office for more details. DEVOTIONS: Miraculous Medal: All are welcome to attend following the Monday 9:00 am Mass. Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament: First Fridays 3:00-8:00 pm; Holy Hour/Benediction 7:00-8:00 pm. Rosary: Recited each morning before the 6:30 am Mass and following the 9:00 am Mass. 2 PASTOR S NOTES 2015 CARDINAL S ANNUAL STEWARDSHIP APPEAL The 2015 Cardinal s Appeal is in its final stages in our parish, the next weekend is Commitment Weekend. At all Masses, you will have an opportunity to make your pledge to the Appeal. As children of Christ, we are called to serve others out of gratitude to our most generous God. Please share your blessings and make a gift to the 2015 Cardinal s Appeal. LENTEN SOUP to STATIONS On Friday, March 20th, the Parish Council invites you to join them for an evening of soup and stations. We will begin in Zoeller Hall at 6:30pm where a light supper will be served and then proceed to the church for the Stations of the Cross at 7:30pm. 3 +MASS OF CHRISM+ SAINT PATRICK S CATHEDRAL TUESDAY, MARCH 31 ST 4:00 PM COUNTY-WIDE COACH BUS AVAILABLE This special Mass, a tradition which goes all the way back to the 5 th century of our church, is only celebrated once a year, during Holy Week. The Mass, which manifests the unity of the priests with their bishop, will be celebrated by our Cardinal Archbishop, Timothy Michael Dolan, who will be joined by his Auxiliary Bishops and hundreds of our parish and religious order priests and deacons. During the Mass, the archbishop will also bless three sacred oils, the oil of catechumens, the oil of the sick and holy chrism. These oils will be used in the administration of the sacraments throughout the entire Archdiocese during the upcoming year. The faithful of our Rockland parishes are urged to make attendance at this Mass of Chrism a special part of their Lenten observance. For your convenience, the Rockland Deanery is sponsoring a coach bus which will be departing from the St. Francis of Assisi parking lot, Parrot Road, West Nyack, at 1PM that day.
