We will look for the ways in which God is active in our world today. The bulletin covers this morning were donated by Inge Lunkenbein in memory of Bob Steele, and by Thelma Philbrick in memory of her mother, Matilda (Tillie) Dunbar. Leftover bulletins: Please take one to P-T members in your neighborhood who did not get to church this morning. If you do not use your bulletin after you leave worship on Sunday, please leave it on the back table or give it to Inge for distribution to our shut-ins in homes and residences. - This Week - Tuesday, May 17: Prayer group will meet in the chapel at 1:30 on Tuesday instead of Wednesday. Thursday, May 19: Education & Outreach will meet at 1:30 in the parlour. Friday, May 20: Worship & Pastoral Oversight will meet at 2:30 in the parlour. Saturday, May 21: Open House set-up: The FTF will set up the Silent Auction Table, Saturday, May 21, one week earlier than usual. We ask that you bring your items, gift certificates, work offers to the Church before or on that date. Please make sure your name is clearly marked

5 - Next Week - Next Sunday, May 22 Fifth Sunday of Easter Holy Communion will be shared. Acts 7:55 60 Psalm 31:1 5, Peter 2:2 10 John 14:1 14 Saturday, May 28: Open House! Come to P-T for a day of food, fellowship and interesting activities from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. There will be a silent auction (bids accepted until 2:00 PM), a bake table and a bilingual historical tour of P-T, the oldest church building in Sherbrooke. We will be serving a lunch of homemade soups, sandwiches, homemade cookies. Free entry bring your friends and neighbours! - Advance Notices - Sunday June 5: In the last of our three worship workshops, we will again take time after the service to imagine the many possible options or directions in which we can go. Equipped with a clear understanding of our values and the value of our church community, we will search for paths to follow in God s way, keeping in mind our tremendous gifts and resources, our present challenges, and the guidance of the Spirit. Our future is in our hands! Let us all come together! We will be joining in snacks and lunch. - General Announcements - Benevolent Fund: You will find a wooden box on the table by the visitors book at the back of the church next Sunday, and every Communion Sunday, for free-will offerings which will be used by the minister to assist members and adherents of our congregation in times of need. Lenten share calendar: If you were unable to bring your donation for the local Grandmothers to Grandmothers group on Easter Sunday, please bring it as soon as possible. Please bring a cheque or paper money, not coins! Make your cheque out to Plymouth-Trinity, noting it is for Lenten share calendar. Egg cartons: Luc and Jonathon sell eggs at Clarke & Fils, and Remi no longer needs egg cartons. Since egg cartons are no longer being reused, please consider recycling them

6 Secretary: Michael will be in the office on Wednesday and Friday mornings from 9:00 AM 12:00 PM. Please have all bulletin items to the office by (or by mail or phone) by Thursday evening. Prayer group: Wednesday afternoons, 1:30-2:30, in the chapel. Anyone who wishes to be part of this weekly gathering for song, readings and intercessory prayer is welcome; please enter by the back (parking lot) door. Anyone with a prayer request for the group should place it in the red box on the table at the back of the sanctuary. (Note that the meeting will be on Tuesday instead of Wednesday this week). Happy Birthday to Inge Lunkenbein and Corentine Navennec, who celebrate on Monday May 16; and to Michel Gosselin, who celebrates on Tuesday May 17. Happy Anniversary to Susan and Richard Stratton, who celebrate on Tuesday May Community Announcements - Fraternité des Trois Anneaux/Three Link Fraternity, Unity Lodge #8 IOOF will be holding an all you can eat BRUNCH on May 15 at 4150 Rte 147, Waterville (Huntingville). We will be serving eggs, bacon, sausage, ham, pancakes, beans, home fries, coffee, tea and juice from 10:30am until 1:00pm. This is a great opportunity to help support our community projects. Adults: $8, age 5-12 $4, 5 and under eat free. Family maximum $25. Information: unity8ioof@yahoo.ca or Janet McBurney is once again participating in the Canadian Cancer Society's Relay for Life in Magog on June 17. This is an overnight relay with all funds going to the Canadian Cancer Society, for both research and support for those suffering from cancer. Tax receipts will be issued for donations of $10 or more upon request. Please contact Janet before June 8 if you wish to make a donation or purchase a luminary (candle) which will light the track for the walkers
