3 We welcome Fr. Vinhson Nguyen. our newly appointed Parochial Vicar. Fr. Nguyen was ordained June 16, 2018 to the Diocese of Phoenix. We are excited to announce that our parishioners Andrew Ausi and Sam McClelland have both been accepted by the Diocese of Phoenix as seminarians. They will be attending Saint John Vianney Theological Seminary in Denver, Colorado this coming fall semester. Please keep these two men in your prayers. 5 The Carmelite Missionaries of St. Therese of the Child Jesus Celebrate Life Ministry All parishioners are kindly invited to join us as we pray for the unborn, the ones that cannot speak for themselves. We pray for them and their mothers, that the unborn will be spared and the mothers will have a change of heart. Our next Prayer Vigil is Saturday, July 21st, 8:00AM at Planned Parenthood, 1837 E Baseline Rd in Tempe. It is on the south side of Baseline Rd. East of McClintock Dr. behind La Fonda and Mandarin House restaurants. Please dress appropriate and bring bottled water. The Carmelite Missionaries of St. Therese of the Child Jesus will be selling religious articles the weekend of July 7 and 8, 2018 after all Masses. Please plan to buy some articles and support the Sisters who are in formation and their missions in very poor places of Mexico. Thank you for your generosity! Gracias por su generosidad! Prayer to Know my Vocation Lord Jesus, I believe that you have created me for a special mission. From the moment I was conceived in my mother s womb, you have been preparing my path to Heaven. Lord, show me your will for my life. Help me to trust you, no matter the cost. Help me to believe that I will be happiest in doing your will. Give me the grace to say yes to what you ask of me today, so that I can say yes to my vocation when it becomes clear to me. St. Maria Goretti Oh Saint Maria Goretti who, strengthened by God's grace, did not hesitate even at the age of twelve to shed your blood and sacrifice life itself to defend your virginal purity, look graciously on the unhappy human race which has strayed far from the path of eternal salvation. Teach us all, and especially youth, with what courage and promptitude we should flee for the love of Jesus anything that could offend Him or stain our souls with sin. Obtain for us from our Lord victory in temptation, comfort in the sorrows of life, and the grace which we earnestly beg of thee (here insert intention), and may we one day enjoy with thee the imperishable glory of Heaven.
