Healing Mass The next Healing Mass will be held on Wednesday 4th April at 11am. We invite everyone to come to mass and receive a special blessing and anointing. No Vietnamese Mass Please be aware that there will be no Vietnamese Mass on 1st April as this is Easter Sunday. The next Vietnamese Mass will be on 7th May at 12noon. Divine Mercy Sunday Observance at St Scholastica s - 11am Mass 8th April 2018 We will be observing Divine Mercy Sunday at the 11am Mass on Sunday 8th April. There will be Confession and Adoration 15mins before the 11am Mass. After mass Fr Tran will be completing a special blessing of the Divine Mercy Image. If anyone has images of the Divine Mercy and would like them blessed, please bring them along for this special blessing after Mass.

3 RCIA Program Our Catechumens journey does not end once they are baptised. After Easter our newly initiated members of the church will experience fully what it is like to be part of the Christian community. They will meet once a fortnight from April 6th to May 20th and continue to discuss their journey and find ways to be part of our parish. We are asking for any parishioners who are interested in seeing what the RCIA journey is about, with a view of what they might have to offer the catechumens, to join us for these sessions. For a small commitment of time the reward you will receive, seeing the joy of this new faith journey, is priceless. It is an amazing opportunity to share your faith with others while welcoming our newest members of the Church. If you are interested in coming along and witnessing these sessions, contact Fr Thanh, the parish office or Jacqui on Sick Parishioners Fr Thanh is more than happy to visit parishioners who are unable to attend our Healing Masses every 2 months due to ill health. If you would like Fr Thanh to visit and anoint you please contact the parish office to arrange a suitable time. Baptism at St Scholastica s It is a requirement of the parish that a Baptism information night must be attended prior to having your child baptised. Contact the parish office on to make a booking into one of the monthly sessions. Next session: Wednesday 4th April 2018 at 8pm in the Gathering Area. St Vincent De Paul The usual monthly food collection will not take place over Easter. The weekend after Easter - 7th and 8th April - is allocated to receive donations of non perishable goods. Alternatively, those who wish to make a cash contribution, may do so at any time via the wall box adjacent to the door on the west side of the church. Hope for Whitehorse Food Drive St. Thomas Anglican Church in Station Street, Burwood, in partnership with other churches in the area is conducting a food drive on the Sunday 6th May The beneficiaries of the drive are various charities and organisations in the area, including our conference of the St. Vincent de Paul Society. The drive entails that bags, with leaflets detailing the type of non-perishable food items required, be delivered door to door to local residents 1 2 weeks prior to the 6th of May. Then on the 6th May the bags are to be picked up. Deliverers are required to help with the food drive. Please consider volunteering for this charitable work. 5 Easter Sunday Year B 1 April 2018 Entrance Antiphon I have risen, and I am with you still, alleluia. You have laid your hand upon me, alleluia. Too wonderful for me, this knowledge, alleluia, alleluia. First Reading: Acts 10: A reading from the Acts of the Apostles We have eaten and drunk with him after his resurrection from the dead. Peter addressed Cornelius and his household: You must have heard about the recent happenings in Judaea; about Jesus of Nazareth and how he began in Galilee, after John had been preaching baptism. God had anointed him with the Holy Spirit and with power, and because God was with him, Jesus went about doing good and curing all who had fallen into the power of the devil. Now I, and those with me, can witness to everything he did throughout the countryside of Judaea and in Jerusalem itself: and also to the fact that they killed him by hanging him on a tree, yet three days afterwards God raised him to life and allowed him to be seen, not by the whole people but only by certain witnesses God had chosen beforehand. Now we are those witnesses we have eaten and drunk with him after his resurrection from the dead and he has ordered us to proclaim this to his people and to tell them that God has appointed him to judge everyone, alive or dead.
