Please also keep in your prayers the men and women serving in the United States Military. This month from our Schwenkfelder Prayer List we uplift Schwenkfelder Missionary Church. A Celebration Next Sunday, March 10 th, at our 10:15 am worship service, Palm Schwenkfelder Church will honor the life and ministry of the late Peg Jacob, our long time organist, with the debut and dedication of the commissioned anthem A Celebration of Service, composed by Joseph M. Martin. There will be a time of fellowship and refreshments following the service. A Celebration of Service is accompanied by four hand piano, and we are delighted to have Jane Cocks and Suzanne Williams playing for the anthem as well as other musical selections. Steven Eisenhart, a former organ student of Peg s, will serve as the organist for our worship, and the hymns will be accompanied by trumpeters, Jeffrey Wohlbach and Richard Karshner. We give thanks for the gift of Peg, and rejoice in the opportunity to express our gratitude in song for this faithful servant of Christ. 7 Youth Group Nights There will be youth group nights for ages 5 th grade 12 th grade from 6:00pm- 8:30pm this coming Saturday, March 9 th and on Saturday, March 23 rd. Join us for Bible discussion, games and snacks. Youth Lent Dinners Dinner with an activity will be offered for all ages of Palm Youth this Wednesday, March 6 th (Ash Wednesday) and Thursday, April 18 th (Maundy Thursday) at 5:30pm, before the 7:00pm church services. Please sign up if you plan to attend. Adults, please see Barb Master if you are interested in helping out with the dinners. First Monday Community Meal Sign up to help at the community meal on March 4 th at Pennsburg UCC. Kitchen help and dining room help is needed. There is a signup sheet in the narthex. Desserts are needed and can be brought to Palm Church on Sunday or Monday morning. Organist Wanted Palm Schwenkfelder Church, 833 Gravel Pike, Palm PA is seeking a Part- Time Organist/Accompanist for Sunday Services at 10:15 a.m., occasional holidays and special services, and adult choir rehearsals generally held Wednesday evenings at 7:30 p.m. A completed job application (which can be found at ) and résumé can be mailed to the church at P.O. Box 66, Palm PA 18070, or them to palmadministrator@comcast.net. If you know of anyone who may be interested, please have them go to our website or any questions they may have. This position is open starting February 1, Altar Flowers and Bulletins Thank you to all who have thus far sponsored altar flowers and bulletins for Sponsorship opportunities for February and March include the following dates: Flowers: March 10 th (two bouquets) March 31 st (one bouquet) Bulletins: March 6 th (Ash Wednesday) Please note that the flower and bulletin charts are posted in the hallway outside of the office. The cost for sponsoring bulletins is $15 per week, and the cost for each flower arrangement is $25 or two arrangements for $50. If you wish to sponsor both arrangements on one date, please sign up on both flower charts for your chosen date. Did You Know? This is where we list items of interest to members and visitors.
