CAPITAL CAMPAIGN & THE CATHOLIC APPEAL The Holy Mothers Collaborative is currently in the planning stages of a capital campaign. As such, our collaborative will not have a Catholic Appeal mailing or InPew appeal like the rest of the Archdiocese. Instead, a portion of our donations to the capital campaign this spring will go towards the 2018 Catholic Appeal. Please be on the lookout for more information about the campaign in the coming weeks and months. Thank you! Fatima devotions are held on the 13th of every month from May through October at the Portiuncula Chapel at the Cardinal Cushing Center, Route 53, Hanover. The service is hosted by the Saint Mary of the Portiuncula Order of Franciscan Seculars. All are most welcome to come and share in the blessings of this special devotion. MOTHER S DAY ROSE DRIVE Our annual Mother s Day Rosefor Life Drive will take place at both churches on Mother s Day weekend (May 12 & 13). Rose Drives are the biggest fundraisers for Massachusetts Citizens for Life (MCFL). All the proceeds and donations go to support everything that MCFL does in the fields of politics and education. MCFL advocates in support of all life issues including, but not limited to, abortion, sex education, and end of life concerns. HAPPY MOTHER S DAY!

The Family Healing from Addictions ministry meets at several locations each month. These meetings are held both for those suffering from addiction, as well as their loved ones. FRESH START MINISTRY The Fresh Start Ministry helps families transition from Rehoboth House Shelter to independent living arrangements, by providing the families with basic household items including cookware, dining ware, bed linens, and towels, as well as other house supplies. The Fresh Start Ministry will be moving three families in the next two weeks! We are currently in need of the following items, which can be dropped off in the Fresh Start collection boxes at Saint Mary s and Saint Helen s. Thank you in advance for your generosity! This Week in the Gospel This week we hear Jesus tell the disciples to love one another as he has loved them. What does it mean to love another person? To love someone else means that you care about another person, about their happiness, and the things which happen to them. You only want the best for them and for them to grow in love and goodness. Jesus lives inside each one of us so whatever we say or do to each other we say or do to him. We can make everything we do a little act of love for God. Please read the following poem, and notice how closely it ties to the Gospel message this week. Motherhood Is a choice you make everyday, To put someone else s happiness and wellbeing ahead of your own. To teach the hard lessons, To do the right thing even when you re not sure what the right thing is, And to forgive yourself over and over again for doing everything wrong.
