A Word From Our Pastor EUCHARISTIC ADORATION I invite everyone to come and spend some quiet time with Jesus before the Blessed Sacrament in our daily chapel every Wednesday from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm and every 1 st Friday of the month from noon until 6:00 pm. May we take advantage of this great and blessed opportunity to be in the presence of the Body of Christ. Come and let Jesus the bread of life transform you! Let the Scriptures Come Alive for You! Join us for the DVD series, Evangelization and the Acts of the Apostles, presented by Dr. Mary Healy, Associate Professor of Scripture at Sacred Heart Seminary in Detroit, Michigan. In this study, you will be inspired and encouraged as you learn about the women and men who transformed the world by the power of the Holy Spirit. Our series will begin on Monday, September 17, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. We will meet in the chapel. Bring your Bibles and come prepared to learn! For more information, please call Patty Wilhelm (evenings). Please keep the following in your prayers: The Bott Family, Lui Rosa, Mariluz Machin, Stephanie Ilimaleota, Aukaso Suita, Westley Brenner (in the military in the Middle East) and our Troops, especially Wesley Augustin & Jason Alfaro. We pray for the souls of all those who have died, may their souls and the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. PRAYER FOR PROTECTION FROM STORMS God our Father, Creator of the Universe and Lord over all creation, we humbly stand before you as your children in thanksgiving for your loving care and protection. We ask that you keep us safe from all hurricanes which may threaten us in the coming seasons. Protect us from all fear and anxiety of storms and give us an ardent trust and hope in Your love and mercy. You alone have the power to command the sea, the wind and the rain. You alone bring peace, calm, and safety. Father, we thank you in advance, for you are our only Refuge. We ask this through Christ, Your Son, Who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen. Mary, Queen of the Apostles, and Patroness of our Diocese, pray for us. 3 NURSING, HEALING, AND HEALTH Thank you for responding to the call to be a spiritual adoptive parent! Congratulations! Your baby is soon to be seven months old. Now into his/ her seventh month of development, the baby born at this time has a fair chance of survival with the help of medical technology. Third trimester Braxton-Hicks contractions may occur, and are sometimes called false labor pains. The only way to be certain if these are false labor pains is to be examined by a doctor. The baby continues to gain weight and forms eyelashes. The baby is beginning to regulate his/her temperature which will always be warmer than the mother. The skin is wrinkled from floating in the amniotic fluid, and will remain that way until a few weeks after birth. This is life, and this is your baby! September is National Food Safety Education Month. Let us encourage mothers to follow a proper meal plan to ensure the further development of the baby as we say the prayer introduced by the Venerable Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen for spiritual adoptive parents to be said daily for nine months. Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, I love you very much. I beg you to spare the life of the unborn baby that I have spiritually adopted who is in danger of abortion. Don t forget to name your baby, and say the prayer twice for twins! Let them thank the Lord for His mercy, such wondrous deeds for the children of Adam. For He satisfied the thirsty, filled the hungry with good things. (Psalm 107:8-9) WILLS AND BEQUESTS A bequest, a gift of money or assets left through your will, is vital to your Parish Church and the people the church serves. It is a unique gift and en investment in the future. By leaving a bequest you are making a lasting difference in the life of Parish community. Our Sacred Heart Parish welcomes charitable donations made by bequest through your will our through Trust. In remembering Sacred Heart Parish you also leave a lasting legacy. There are various forms of bequests that you may make. For example, the proceeds of an unrestricted bequest may be used where needed, whereas a restricted bequest specifies the use of the donation. Bequests may come in the form of a specific dollar amount, securities, real estate, tangible property, and retirement account assets. A residuary bequest allows our beloved Sacred Heart Parish to receive all or a percentage of your estate after all obligations have been met. If a Will or Trust already exists, an amendment can be done by an attorney through a document called a codicil, which adds a new bequest. Our Sacred Heart is a charitable, non-profit institution; therefore, all bequests are fully deductible for estate tax purposes. Contributions 8/26/18.. $7, $1, The Hosts for the Month of September have been donated by Salome Mondelus Please keep her and her family in your prayers. The Wine for the Month of September has been donated by The Szerdi Family Please keep them in your prayers. Members of the St Vincent de Paul Society will be outside the Church the last weekend of the every month with baskets collecting donations by will. Prayer Requests For The Living Please Print Clearly Full Name and complete address if you would like us to send a well wish. Deposit in the collection basket or drop off at the parish office.
4 CREOLE PAGE ADORASYON KI FÈ KÈ BONDYE KONTAN Jezu nan levanjil jodi a ap kalifye Farizyen ak profesè lalwa yo de yon ban ipokrit paske pawòl yo ak aksyon depaman.
