2 Social Hall Enhancements Are Coming! Thank you to the 103 donors who have offered $51,914 to the Social Hall Enhancement Fund. The Capital Improvements Steering committee met earlier this month and determined that we will have enough funds to purchase new dining tables, serving/general use tables and portable room dividers as we had hoped! In keeping with our policy to spend only what cash we have on-hand, we determined that we can purchase eight new 12 wheeled serving tables, ten new 6 portable white tables and seven portable room dividers covering a total of feet (where the carpet meets the tile floor). We expect delivery on those items in January! As additional installments are received later in 2019, we anticipate being able to purchase twenty new round dining tables. What a great gift to the parish in the new year! LEGO Team The newly formed St. Richard LEGO Robotics team competed in their first tournament earlier this month. They placed 7th out of 12 teams a great start! Special thanks to mentors Riyan Mendonsa, Lynn Norby, Chris Norby and Eric Soland. Photos will be posted on the parish website and SaintRichard Faith Formation Facebook page. Mary, Mother of God Holy Day Tuesday, January 1, is the feast day celebrating Christ s mother, Mary. We will have Mass at 10:00am that day; however, the offices will be closed and there will be no other activities in the building. Parish News Save the Date: Pancake Breakfast On Sunday, January 13, a delicious pancake and sausage breakfast will be served from 9:30am 12:30pm in our Social Hall. Tickets will be available at the door and gluten-free pancakes will be available. Invite your friends! Checking Out the After-Christmas Sales? Keep an eye out for holiday items to donate for next year s Fall Festival Christmas Store or small prizes for the festival games! You may drop them off in the sacristy. Thank You for Another Great Senior Luncheon! Thank you to the Pastoral Care Commission for all their hard work to make the Seniors of St. Richard Christmas Luncheon a great success. Also a special thank you to Mrs. Wyrick and the Blessed Trinity First Graders for the special concert created just for our party! 3 Community News Holy Hours for Vocations On the second Tuesday of each month, the Holy Hour for Vocations will be held at a different parish in the Archdiocese. The next holy hour will be held on Tuesday, January 8, 7:00 8:00pm, at St. Patrick in Oak Grove. Everyone in the Archdiocese is invited to participate! Spend an hour with Jesus to pray for an increase in vocations to the priesthood, consecrated life and diaconate.
