3 Holy Trinity Christmas Ministries Each year Holy Trinity Church offers a variety of Christmas Ministries to the Orthodox and non-orthodox people of the county. We assist families in need as well as home-bound families in their attempt to celebrate the holidays in a dignified fashion. Please join us in this humble and sacred mission through the below mentioned ways: Christmas Offering Envelopes You may wish to offer your Christmas donation to the community by using the enclosed envelope. Visitations to the Sick People who have or know of persons convalescing in homes or hospitals and wish to receive the Sacraments during these Holy Days may contact Father Nicholas. Donations for Flowers Donations for purchase of Christmas Poinsettias for the decoration of the Holy Altar during the holidays are needed. You may see Father Nicholas or the Parish Office to make your donation.

7 The Saint Nicholas Giving Tree Holy Trinity Youth and Young Adult Ministries My dearest Young People; Seeing that Christmas is a time for giving, and St. Nicholas brought so many gifts to the poor and needy children, I wanted to continue that beautiful tradition here in our church. Let's gather as many gifts as we can for the needy children of our area. This Sunday, after your Sunday School program or next Friday following Greek School, Youth Dance., or Mommy and Me, go down to the Bulletin Board in the Foyer and "pick a card" off the St. Nicholas Giving Tree. Follow the instructions and return your gift and place it under the Christmas tree in the Church on or by Sunday, December 16 th. The gifts will be distributed to the needy children of our area through several different programs. It will be the event this Christmas that makes "giving better than receiving" as we prepare for God's gift of Christ into our lives and hearts. Everyone in the Community is welcome to participate. Here's how the program works: Please go out and buy a new toy worth about $15.00 to $20.00 for a boy or a girl Wrap the toy and stick the label that are available in the Church foyer. (Be sure to mark the label) Bring the toy to church with you on Sunday and place it under the Christmas tree. All toys need to be under the tree on or by Sunday, December 16, 2018

14 Holy Trinity Library Please stop by our library to browse our collection and to borrow a book or two. This month we would like to highlight another two categories in our library s collection. Our Biographies and Memoirs category is comprised of books written by or about Greeks. Among the many titles there you will find Eleni, Farewell to Salonica, Ask Me Again Tomorrow (by Olympia Dukakis) and The Cretan Runner: His Story of the German Occupation. The category of Orthodoxy and Orthodox Stories in our children s section has many books that teach our children about our faith and our traditions. Here are just a few of the many titles: Every Time I Do My Cross, The Story of Icons, The Littlest Altar Boy, and Yiayia and the Prosphoron.
