We are truly blessed.both as a community, and as individual families to have the opportunity to enter into this great moment. On Sunday may 20 th, we will celebrate Pentecost Sunday!! We will enter into the promise that Jesus fulfills for us. We have an advocate!! A helper to be with us at all times!! The holy Spirit!! This year is very special for me and my entire family! On Sunday May 20 th I together with my family are celebrating my 40 th anniversary of ordination. I am personally inviting all Parishionars and friends who can be with us at the 11am mass, and a reception to follow at moreno hall with plenty to eat and refreshments for all. It is truly amazing how the time does fly. I have had some time to reflect on my ministry these past 40 years, so many beautiful moments to think about. It is amazing how God reveals himself to all of us in the relationships we establish in doing Gods work. So many things I would love to share with you all, unfortunately not enough space here to share 40 years. It would mean the world to me if you could join me and my entire family. On this beautiful occasion.. See you on May 20 th!!! God Bless you! Que Dios Los Bendiga! Deacon Tom Perez Fiesta Meeting The next Fiesta Meeting will be May 23rd at 6:00pm in Moreno Hall. Please Plan to attend. Communion Ministry Mee ng All Communion ministers, including those who serve the homebound, are asked to attend an important meeting at 6:30 pm Wednesday, May 23 in San Felipe Church. Our liturgist, Erick Martinez, will talk with us, and we will review procedures for offering the cup to parishioners. Anyone who is interested in joining this ministry is also invited to attend join us that evening.

3 Arts and Crafts We need your help for donations to continue to help with our annual Fiestas. The "Arts and Crafts" booth is looking for these type of donations. In the past we have accepted many donations. However, this year we want to keep the theme "Arts and Crafts and Bake Sale. Thank you for your previous donations and we look forward to many more Blessings! Your contact for donations will be Sadie Marrufo at Congratulations to all 3rd grade students who made their First Holy Communion. SFdN school made their First Holy Communion on May 6th. It was a special ceremony where students began Mass with many nervous feelings and excited hearts. Students ended Mass overjoyed with God's love. Congratulations to our 3rd grade class. Fiesta Donations For Fiesta Volunteers Our fiesta is supported by many volunteers from the weeks prior to the fiesta to the week after fiesta. Below is a list of donations needed for this year s fiesta: baked goods (for use on June 2 and 3) cases of water cases of soda vegetable trays (for use on June 2 and 3) fruit trays (for use on June 2 and 3) meat and cheese trays (for use on June 2 and 3) The mayordomos for San Felipe Church will be commissioned at all the weekend Masses on May 20-27, the feast day of St. Philip Neri, our patron saint. They received the Sacrament of Matrimony in the Holy Bonds of Marriage. Confirmation Students All adult, RCIA and high school students who recently completed your Confirmation are asked to become more active in the ministries here at San Felipe de Neri, especially during the mass. Your skills are needed as Alter Servers, Lectors, Ushers, Eucharistic Ministers and in the Choir. As part of the letter the adult and high school students wrote to Archbishop Wester as part of their Confirmation, you were asked to state what you will do for the Church after the sacrament Confirmation is attained. That being said all of you will be great teachers in our Religious Education Program. Registration for Next School Year We re continuing the registration for Religious Education students for the next school year for children in the First Grade thru Youth Group. We re working very hard to develop a strong Religious Education Program here at San Felipe de Neri and registering your children in our program will allow us to work with their families to teach the children the beauty of our Catholic faith. Our Church Fiestas Students and parents, your help will be needed and greatly appreciated for our Church Fiestas the first week end of June. For you students going into Second Year Confirmation next year, this if first required Community Service Project for Confirmation. Keep in mind you are the future leaders of the Mother Church of Albuquerque which is something to be very proud of. Our Church has a significant historical impact on Albuquerque and surrounding community, so help make events like our Fiestas successful.
