3 Page Three The Epiphany of the Lord January 7, 2018 FROM OUR PASTOR Dear Parishioners, As the liturgical season of Christmas soon comes to an end, I would like to thank all the people who helped make our liturgical celebrations so spiritually meaningful and enjoyable. They include: our parish Arts and Environment Committee who put so much time into planning and decorating our church this year for Christmas. Our parish choirs for all their extra hours of practice and performing at our Christmas liturgies and especially the carols before Midnight Mass. Your voices certainly lifted our spirits and hearts to our Lord this holiest of seasons. All our ushers, lectors, Eucharistic ministers and altar servers who assisted at Mass to celebrate this special season. All our parishioners who participated in our Mass by their prayers and singing from the pews; and to all who generously donated to our Christmas collection. Many thanks to those who sponsored our 2018 calendars, Schmaedeke Funeral Home (Schmaedeke & Mintle Families), Robert Sheehy & Sons Funeral Home (Bob & Jim Sheehy Families), and Lawn Funeral Home (Jarka Family). Please mark your calendars for Saturday, March 3 rd, which will be our Annual Parish Dance and Raffle. This years theme will be a St. Patrick s Day Party. The band has been booked and the committee is currently working on the menu for dinner. Soon all parishioners will be receiving raffle tickets to support our major parish fundraiser. In other words, through the people of Israel, the Savior shall come to all people who seek God with a sincere heart.
