5 General Information Regarding Examination QUALIFICATIONS LOWER DIVISION CLERK Qualification and Experience : (a) Matriculation or equivalent. (b) Minimum speed 30 words per minute in English typing or 25 words per minute in Hindi typing provided that a person not possessing the same qualification in typing may be appointed subject to the condition that he will not be eligible for increment in the scale or confirmation till he acquires 30 w.p.m. in English typing or 25 w.p.m. in Hindi typing. Desirable : Should have basic knowledge of Computer. STORE-KEEPER Qualification and Experience : Essential : Desirable : Basic knowledge of Computer Application having O Level Certificate as per department of Electronics Accreditation Committee Certificate (DOEACC). STENOGRAPHER Qualification and Experience : (a) Matriculation or equivalent with English/Hindi as one of the subjects. (b) Knowledge of Stenography. (c) Speed of 100 words per minute in stenography (English) 40 words per minute type writing. Provided that to the extent persons possessing a speed of 100 w.p.m. are not available persons possessing speed of 80 w.p.m. shall be eligible. FIREMAN Qualification and Experience : (a) Must possess middle school (8th Class) pass certificate from recognized school. (b) Must have adequate knowledge of operational use of fire fighting equipment. (c) Must be physically fit and capable of performing strenuous duties. This requirement will be tested as under : (i) Height without shoes 165 cm, (ii) Chest (Unexpanded) : 81.5 cm (Expanded) : 85 cm, (iii) Weight 50 kg minimum. Endurance Test (i) Carrying a man (Fireman lift of 63.5 kg to a distance of 183 mtrs. within 96 seconds), (ii) Clearing 2.7 mtrs. wide ditch landing on both feet (Long jumps), (iii) Climbing 3 mtrs. vertical rope using hands and feet. AGE (a) For the Post of Lower Division Clerk, Store-Keeper and Stenographer between 18 years to 27 years. (b) For the post of Fireman : Between 18 years to 37 years. Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC, 10 years for Physically Handicapped (PH) and for other categories as per Govt. rules. GENERAL CONDITIONS Note : (i) The crucial date for determining the age and eligibility shall be the closing / last date for receipt of the applications. (ii) Experience acquired after passing the essential qualifications only shall be entertained. (iii) Persons having more than 40% disability are eligible for the posts prescribed for Physically Handicapped (PH) category. (iv) Candidates applying for the post against Physically Handicapped quota should enclose a medical certificate issued by Medical Board or by a Civil Surgeon where such Medical Board does not exist in support of his/her claim with regard to the physical disability. The experience certificates must contain period with dates, name of the post held, salary drawn and nature of work done etc. The qualifications and experience prescribed for the above posts are minimum and mere possession of the same does not entitle any candidate to be called for test/interview. Where number of the applications received for the above posts will be large and where it will not be convenient or possible for this factory to call all the eligible candidates for test/interview, the factory may restrict the number of candidates to be called for test/interview to a reasonable limit on the basis of qualifications and experience higher than as prescribed in the advertisement.
