6 About The Author W Biplab Kumar Das was born and brought up in Digboi, Assam and later on moved to Tezpur, Assam for higher studies. He is just twenty one years old and presently pursuing his B.TECH degree in electrical department from GIMT-TEZPUR. He belongs from a middle class family. Since from his childhood he fights against the poverty and whatever he is today only because of the support of his caring family specially his seventy two years grandfather. 8 About The Book W YOU MADE ME WHAT I AM is all about the tragedy, romance and experiences that a simple boy, a student of B.Tech faces in his life. It is a romantic suspense novel. Arya, a student of B.Tech tall, gangly and introvert, he is not every girls dream boy falls in love with Ayesha who reminds him of Promises and Forever. Ayesha was from the same college but she never talk with Arya during the course. Their first conversation start through Facebook and they fall in love. There was no similarity between the two. Only one thing common between them is they are HRF Hrithik Roshan s fan. Everything was going good between them and they were at the peak of their romantic relationship. But suddenly destiny played a cruel role which Arya had never expected and that created a vast differences in their happy relationship. Everything got shattered in a single blow, his love, his hope and his dream were also in the row... The book contains the craziness of Arya, Rahul and Abhi, their friendship and the bond of brotherhood they carry in every iota of their blood. The novel also describes the lifestyle of an engineering student, experiences of the later and the dilemma faced during the course. This book is based on my Real Life Experiences. I don t want to reveal how much fiction, how much fact is there in my book rather I want my reader to find it their own. I want everyone to READ IT, FIND IT AND JUDGE IT. vii

9 Prologue W Digboi : 4 th January, I have never seen Arya in this condition before, actually I have never guess or expected to see him in this pathetic state. Somehow we break the gathering of the mob and reach nearer to Arya. There is hardly some space for me and Rahul to stand nearer to him as the people of the locality surrounded Arya wheel-shapedly as he is the hero of a film and shooting is going to be start within a few minutes. I am literally shock to see Arya laying straight on side of the road surrounded by such morons who are only enjoying the live show. Arya is senseless, the t-shirt he is wearing was originally white which is hard to tell now as Arya's blood covered every square inch of them. For a moment I thought he is dead as he is completely motionless. I kneel downed brought my ears closer to his heart. Thank God! I can hear his 'Heart-Beats.' "He is alive...he is alive...he is still breathing." I shout pointing my pathological eyes towards Rahul. He has become a statue after witnessing Arya in such a situation. My screaming jostle him in such a way that he overcome from the trauma and hurriedly make a call to the ambulance. He is shivering as if it is below four degree Celsius. Arya is still bleeding. His body colour have turn into complete deep red. The only thing proving that he is still alive is his fast heart beats and continuous breathing. I had never been inside a running hospital before, Ambulance before. I am sad and tensed so does Rahul. viii

10 Arya is laying on the stretcher as if he is having the 'Best Sleep Of The Decade' and we the two idiots sitting nearer to him is hoping that he will wake up and we will hugged him as tight as we can. We are praying silently for him. The ambulance was moving as fast as it can, crossing and is overtaking all the vehicles of the busy road. As we are half way to the hospital Arya's condition got more worse. He is unable to breathe properly. Being an asthmatic patient he might be common with such pains but this is quite difference. Arya is reacting like a fish with no water. The nurse, compounder, everyone present in the running hospital is trying to make Arya feel comfortable. The nurse is about to inject an injection to Arya, maybe a pain killer or Asthaline I don't know surely what it is. Rahul is holding the hand of Arya so that he can stop the movement and the nurse can inject properly. As all are busy with the patient my eyes got stuck to the cellphone of Arya which is below the stretcher may be fallen from his pocket during the movement. I collect the cell phone, on God's grace there is no lock pattern. I just swipe the screen, the home screen appeared having wallpaper of Arya and Ayesha hugging each other in deep love, maybe captured by Rahul. As I am looking the romantic picture and passing comments in my mind, 'How cute they look,' 'what a romantic couple they are,' may God blessed them and make Arya alright. Meanwhile I notice two messages are unread. At the first glance I find it a crime to read someone's private inbox. But again I thought if there were so personal and private messages than Arya wouldn't kept the phone unlocked. Hence, I open the two unread messages and I am shocked after reading the messages. The two messages are from the girlfriend of Arya, Ayesha whom Arya term to be his world and I am sure ix

11 there is a direct link between the SMS sent by Ayesha and the reason behind the pathetic condition of Arya. The two messages that created all the mystery in my mind are - Message 1 : "I'm glad whatever he did to me as a friend today...whatever he be, a fake, an ex of mine but he supported me for a moment. And you...you had never supported me not even as a fake also..." Message 2 : "You're the worst boyfriend of this world. Its because of the sin of my previous birth I have got a boyfriend like you. I understand being a science student you are weak in expressing feelings, don't know pampering, you are not romantic. But atleast you should know how to respect a girl...arya, you know what you don't deserve me, actually you don't deserve any girl of the world. You have never loved me. I would never ever gave my feet also to touched it with your dirty hands. I don't want to see your face anymore... Good Bye." Ayesha, whom Arya term to be his everything how could she messaged him in such a manner? Why Ayesha is disdaining Arya in such a manner? What is wrong between them that has changed the whole scenario in mystery? I can't even expressed in words that being the best friend of Arya what I am feeling. I am trying to find the answers of each and every questions occuring and appearing in my mind. But those answers were unknown to me only two persons can clearify all the mysteries and queries of my mind, one who is fighting between his life and death and the other who is not answering my call. Ayesha's number is switched off. I call her to know the real fact but it is all in vain. I paused my all questions take a long breath and start praying for Arya. Only he can answer me once he is alright. x

12 Few days back or few months back they were lovebirds. She was everything to Arya and he was everything to Ayesha. And now at present day one is fighting between his life and death and the other one is just disdaining and hating him like hell... We are still on the way a few minutes more it will take us to reach the hospital. Rahul is hardly moving his body and I am experiencing a new experience of my life. Only God can save Arya from this pathetic condition. Moreover, I am sitting with my best friend Arya after eight long months and wishing to talk with him atleast for once about the misunderstanding that took place eight months ago due to which we became a complete stranger... Please forgive me Babu I really love you a lot re...i m really very very sorry for hurting you like this. Please come to WhatsApp re... His mobile was vibrating in every interval of twothree minutes. Arya was not even in a mood to respond it. His face was clearly expressing that somewhere he was lost, maybe he was trying to find something... Maybe an unknown answer... It was a wonderful day, Arya as usual wakeup from the bed listening to the sweet voice chat send by Ayesha through whatsapp. Arya Dutta, Fourth semester Electrical Engineer. He is tall, gangly and INTROVET. He is not every girl s dream boy. He was happy and excited for the new day. As like the other days he was in hurry for the college as he was getting late. He can t missed the first class as it would be 1

15 You Made Me What I Am taken by Prof. PK which is also the warden of their paying guest. Harsid shouted, Are you coming Arya? See its Electric Machine Class and we can t be late nor we can bunk. Please be in a hurry yaar, I m not in a mood to get scolded for being late. Harsid Choudhury Electrical Engineering, Fourth semester. He is about five feet five inches. He has the perfect look of an engineering student long hairs, long beards and a silver frame specs over his face. He is a POGONOPHILE. Yeah, Yea..Just two minutes I m leaving only, Arya replied. Few minutes later both were walking fast on the way to their college, meanwhile Arya feel the vibration of his mobile phone. He looked through the screen of his mobile, it was Bina, who was introduced to him by Ayesha. Bina Gupta Ayesha s best friend, very simple, cute and friendly. Arya termed her as his elder sister. He received the call, Hello!...Hello di Are you hearing me? The network was too weak maybe the dense cloud in the sky was the reason behind this. Yes, yes brother I m hearing you...how are you? Its been so long we haven t chat for a while. Where are you re? I want to inform you something, replied came from the other end after being paused for twenty to thirty seconds. Arya hurriedly replied, Di I m on my way to college getting late. Catch you later on. Okay bro take care bye, Bina replied. Arya disconnected the phone meanwhile they reached the college campus. Harsid who was totally silent during the course of the call finally broke his silence, 2

16 Biplab Kr. Das Arya, look! the college campus is empty. Only the signboard of the highlighted name of the institution GIRIJANANDA CHOUDHURY INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT AND TECHNOLOGY-TEZPUR was there. As Arya noticed, he started running followed by Harsid behind him. Harsid pushed Arya inside as they reached the classroom. Prof. PK who is a very strict and disciplined teacher pausing his lecture on Electrical Machines gave the both a sassy look in a manner that nothing would be happen to the two idiots if he scold them. So unlike other days Prof. PK asked them to take their sit. After restless classes finally it was the lunch break. Arya was feeling hungry as he had skipped the breakfast. He went to the canteen, ordered paratha and was eating it in a manner he was starving since a week. Arya s mobile started vibrating as he was having his food. He ignored the call as his fingers were oily. He completed the paratha hurriedly, washed his hands and after wiping the droplets of water with the napkin he put out his mobile from the pocket to identify the person calling him during having his food. It was Bina. Arya thought of calling her but meanwhile Harsid arrived. Hey! Lets go for the practicals. Guess what we are in the same group. We have to connect the circuits soon so as to complete the experiment soon. Come lets go. Harsid calling Arya with excitement. Arya once again could not complete his conversation with Bina. Arya was at the practical lab connecting wires to the rheostat but his mind was dwelling with the half done conversation with Bina. I want to inform you something. He was trying to find the answer of it. What Bina wanted to inform him!!!...? 3

17 You Made Me What I Am He was thinking deeply about it meanwhile Prof. PK entered the lab to examine the experiments. Arya was sincere at practicals but that day no doubt he connected all the wires and equipments correctly but unfortunately he was too late to produce the report and graph unlike the other days. Why are you too late to produce the reports today? Prof. PK asked as he came closer to examine their experiment. Sir, the rheostat was faulty so we connected the circuit newly again with the new rheostat. Harsid the other group member handled the situation smartly. Hmm... Submit your reports and graphs to my table as soon as it get completed. Prof. PK left the room. Arya who was little tense and still dwelling with the question of his mind was unable to concentrate himself. So he requested Harsid to complete the remaining stuffs. Finally both completed their experiment submitted their report to the Prof. PK s cabin and left the college. Arya was hungry. It was almost 5:00pm he reached hostel. Bina s words were still stuck in his mind so he had his food even without changing his college uniform and finally made a call to Bina. Bina was not picking the call. Arya was calling her continously. But each time he heard only one voice The number you have dialled is not answering any calls...please try again after sometime. Arya paused himself for a while, collect the bottle from the table had a sip of water. He again called back Bina who finally this time picked his call. Hello!... Hello di!!! Are you hearing me? I was calling you since long... What you want to inform me? Arya asked her without taking a breathe. 4

18 Biplab Kr. Das Chill brother... Relax, I was sleeping so couldn t answer your call. Sorry for that. Actually I want to inform you something which may be a shocking for you. But I care for you, we aren t brother and sister from the same mother but our relationship, our bonding is much more stronger than the blood relationships. I don t want... Dii, don t hesitate please. You are like my elder sister and you have the right to show me the right path so say clearly what you want to say. Arya said. Bina replied, I don t want you to be in darkness but the truth is you are being CHEATED by your girlfriend. What!!! Arya screamed in shock. Yes my bro, Bina further added that his Ayesha whom he termed as his world is still in love with her Ex boyfriend. Everyone here in the college knew about their affair and dalliance. Arya was shuttered no words could expressed his feelings. He was trying to control the tears which are rolling through the cheeks. He disconnected the phone, called Ayesha and asked her directly whether she is still in love with Shayan. We are just friends now nothing else. Don t be insecure. Please have some trusts on me. Ayesha replied getting disturbed. Hmm... Sorry... Lets chat in whatsapp. Added Arya before disconnecting the call. Arya was confused so he decided to talk with Shayan directly. Shayan Ghosh a guy with a good sense of humour. He could shut anyone s mouth with his words. He have an attitude for his personality which is hated by many and yeah he never took relationships seriously. He is such kind a guy if someone addressed him as Playboy he felt honoured. 5

Both were good at studies, sports, writing skills but yeah Arya was always a single step ahead of him in all the fields. Here Arya is persuing his Engineering degree and there Shayan is doing his graduation in Arts. Arya called Shayan and asked him, Are you chatting with Ayesha? May I have the opportunity to see the chats? Can you please send me the screenshots of your conversation? Shayan laughed listening to Arya and replied, You are so innocent. You don t even know the real character of your girlfriend. To be honest you deserve better than her. Come to whatsapp I m giving you some shock. The screenshots will play the role of current here. Arya turned on the data connection of his mobile and opened the whatsapp. Two unread messages from Ayesha. Hey! Are you Okay! Why are you not online? Okay fine, stay busy I m going outside. Catch you later. Bye As Arya was reading the chats he received messages, Screenshots from Shayan. He was shocked reading the conversation of Ayesha and Shayan. Their conversation were exactly like this Shayan : Hi dear good morning. Ayesha : Hey... I was missing you and remembering you. Good morning you too. I just can t forget you. Shayan : Don t worry someday you ll. Ayesha : No, I can t. I need you... ( an emoticon of crying face) 2 minutes later Ayesha sent a zoomed picture of her eyes captioned with Don t you missed these pair of eyes? 6

Ayesha sent a voice note of one minutes thirty three seconds which Arya could not listen as it was a screenshot. Shayan : Wow! Great. Ayesha : You know few days back I saw you coming towards the office via main gate of the college. As I saw you I shouted, Bina! Just look... Owwh Gosh! Bina isn t he becoming much more healthier, stronger and sexy day by day. OMG! Just look at his biceps. You know Bina too accepted the fact. ( Lots of emoticon of kisses and hearts ) Shayan : Wow! you noticed me so much. You still check me out. ( a naughty emoticon ) Ayesha : Yes... I need you. I want you. Don t you miss me? Shayan : What about Arya? How is he? Ayesha : Don t take his name. He is a psycho, a mental patient. He is so boring person, so unromantic. I think he needs a psychiatric. Shayan : He knows everything between us that we were involved in? Ayesha : Yes he knew. I said him that we kissed only for four to five times. Shayan : What!!! Haahahaahaa poor fellow. He rushed to Harsid s room who was preparing some weeds along with Jiten. Jiten Kalita, Mechanical Engineering, Fourth semester who is very proud of this identity is the funniest creature of our Paying guest. He is quite popular in the college because of his over weight and size. He is also honoured with the nicknames like Petla Petu Fatso because of his giant body. He is a CLINOMANIAC CREATURE. Along with a engineering student he is proud of two more things first one no one can compete him while having alcohol or weeds and the other one is no one can complete him in playing carrom. Give me a Cigarette Harsid. Arya requested standing on the door of the room. Harsid smelled something fishy so without uttering a word offered him a flake. Jiten was quite surprised on the weird behaviour of Arya as he never noticed Arya smoking before. Arya left the room with a gesture of thanks to the both, came to his room and locked himself. He sat on the chair, lighted the cigarette and was smoking. He was trying to be normal. The shocked that he experienced was crunching his heart. He was trying to exhale the 8

Arya was stronger but that day he was totally unable to control his tears. He was broken, weak and sad. The room was complete dark as the sun was set outside. Ayesha was continously calling him. Everytime she called it got disconnected automatically as her number was added to black list. The screen of the mobile was blinking in every interval of two to three minutes, which was destroying the darkness of the room. She was asking Sorry for her deeds over the SMS. Maybe she realised her mistake, maybe she was feeling the hurt of Arya. Maybe she would have run to Arya to asked sorry from him if they weren t in a LONG DISTANCE RELATIONSHIP. Ayesha was continuously calling and messaging him. She wanted to talk with Arya at least once. I m sorry for the shameful act, please come to whatsapp and lets start everything newly from today... Ayesha shouted with a adorable voice from the door of the girl s common room which was at a small a distance from Arya who was standing with his friends. Arya who was unware of the scene was informed by his friend Rahul. Hey! Dude a girl is calling you. Rahul said Rahul Sharma, best buddy of Arya. Rahul is a guy who is rare to find in this sinful Kalyug. Rahul is that kind of guy who is free from all bad habits, who have to take permissions from his parents for everything with giving a proper explanation. He is very faithful and TRUSTWORTHY. Arya turned back to enquired about the fact and was literally fainted espying that such a beautiful girl is uttering his name on her red gorgeous lips. Ayesha Paul... She is beautiful. The moon looks beautiful because of the dark spots present in it. Her height was the dark spots and she is as beautiful as the moon. She is one of the CUTIEST girl present in this planet. 10
