8 Hospital Staff 2016 is past and 2017 in upon us. We have so many blessings to be grateful for during our 2016 year. First of all, our health and the support and prayers from our Nobles and friends to our Illustrious Potentate and family. The Hospital Staff had a very busy year culminating with the Shriner Kids Christmas party on December 11th. A special thanks is extended to Bill Coomer (Santa), Daughter s of the Nile, the Hadi Funsters, Divan members, Nobles, Ladies for making this event so special for our kids. As in all years there is a changing of the Guard, this is no different for the Hospital Staff. Our Captain elect is Butch Carl, 1st Lieutenant Mike Palmer, 2nd Lieutenant Tim Martin, our new Sergeant Mike Russell, Secretary Gerald Davis and Treasurer Paul Embry. As many of you know, the Hospital Staff is raising money for a building to be used for staff members and a patient lounge. Legion of Honor By Curran Wilkinson, Adjutant Greetings from Hadi Legion of Honor. It seems that the year 2016 has passed very rapidly. Like all of you, for me it has had some downfalls; however, it can still be referred to as a good year. The 83rd. Hadi Shrine Circus has come and passed, and what a great show it was! We say thanks to all the hard working nobles who made the circus possible. Countless hours of planning and hard work are necessary for this show to be possible, not to mention the clean up afterwards. GREAT JOB GUYS! Now that the holiday season has passed, and we certainly hope everyone had a good one, we are starting the new year Along with the new year comes new officers, dues paying time, and planning for the year ahead. Hadi LOH officers are as follows: Commander, Ned Wellmeier, Lt. Commander, Karl Fark, Adjutant, Curran Wilkinson, Finance Officer, Frank Seib, and Chaplain, Jim Stoneman. The new building will be equipped with handicap bathrooms for our Shrine Kids, a carport for our Hospital vans and some storage for the many gift items we receive for our hospitals. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the many donors and would like to thank the Nobles and friends who donated over $11,000 in honor of Ginny Schuler. Potentate, Brother, Past Captain, Past President, Dan Schuler extends his heartfelt thanks to all. Our latest contributors are James and Peggy Bauer as we have received many contributions, the Hospital Staff Building Fund extends kudos to all who have given. We thank our Present Captain for 2016 for his dedication was an outstanding year under his leadership. Kudos to Captain Bill Holsey!! If you have not yet paid your dues, and you are not a life member, please send your dues of $10 to Hadi Shrine c/o Hadi LOH, or better yet, attend the next stated meeting and pay in person and become involved with our unit. Our membership is open to all Shriners who are veterans of any branch of military service or who are now an active member or reservist of the military. Our regular meeting is the 4th Monday each month at Hadi Temple. We eat in the Red Fez at 6:00 P. M. with our Ladies and then adjourn to the third floor for our meeting at 7:00 P. M. There is a one time initiation fee of $10 plus $10 annual dues. If you meet the eligible criteria, we invite you to become a member of our unit. Remember!! It is an Honor to belong to the Legion of Honor. Daughters of the Nile On November 28, 2016, the Official Visit of Supreme Queen Cathy Carol Rose honored Isis Temple No. 41. A banquet and ceremonial was at the Masonic Temple on Chestnut Street. Illustrious Sir Dan Schuler joined us for the banquet and expressed his compliments to Daughters of the Nile for their hard work and dedication towards helping the Shriners Hospitals for Children We at Isis Temple are so fortunate to have Hadi Temple and its Divan member s support.
