1 Alton Derle McGee 04/13/2006 Elder Alton Derle McGee, 70, of 353 Willis Pope Road, Angier, died Wednesday, April 12, 2006, at Southern Wake Medical Center in Fuquay-Varina. He was born June 21, 1935, in Johnston County to the late Alton and Floy McGee. He was the retired owner of Mac s Sewing Center in Dunn and pastor of Little Fellowship and Greenford Primitive Baptist churches. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Benson by Elders Walter Stewart, Stacy Pierce and Brother Mack Fowler. Entombment will follow at Devotional Gardens in Dunn. Survivors include his wife, Carol Pope McGee; sons, Robert Derle McGee of Four Oaks, Roger Lane McGee and wife Christa of Friendsville, Tenn.; daughters, Angela McGee-Platt and husband Skip of Angier, Ellen Elaine Castillo and husband Michael of Angier; brothers, James Earl McGee of Angier, Robert Sherrill McGee, Eugene Harold McGee and Kenneth Terle McGee, all of Benson; sisters, Merle Hodges and Alice Cox, both of Angier, Joyce Southerland of Wilson s Mills, Mavis Johnson of Four Oaks and Brenda Taylor of Snellville, Ga.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was born Feb. 12, 1945, in Johnston County to the late Junius and Eva McGee of Benson. He served three years in the U.S. Army. Mr. McGee was discharged in Cleveland, Ohio, where he retired from 310 Local after 32 years of service as a commercial construction foreman. He was a member of St. John s Lutheran Church in Garfield Heights. Funeral services will be held at St. John s Lutheran Church in Garfield Heights at a later date. A memorial service will be held at Friendship Baptist Church in Angier at a later date. Mrs. McLamb, a native of Johnston County, was born Sept. 22, 1931, to the late John Aldridge and Lola Honeycutt McGee. She was a 1951 graduate of Campbell College and was an administrative assistant in the Planning Department with the City of Raleigh. She was a member of Coats Baptist Church. Mr. Beasley was born July 31, 1931, in Johnston County. He was preceded in death by his father, James Vermon Beasley. He served in the U.S. Army. Mrs. Beasley was born Jan. 22, 1933, in Johnston County to the late David and Flonnie Morgan McLamb. They both retired from operating the 210 Grocery near McGee s Crossroads. Funeral services were held this morning at 11 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. R.B. Parrish. Entombment followed in Sunset Memorial Park in Smithfield.

Peggy Lou McGee Hollingsworth 06/16/2004 Peggy Lou McGee Hollingsworth of South Denise Ave., Coats, died Sunday at Good Hope Hospital in Erwin. The Harnett County native was preceded in death by her parents, Vellie and Ora Ennis McGee. She was employed with Belk department stores. A private memorial service will be held at home. William Kermit Honeycutt 02/16/2005 William Kermit Honeycutt, 74, of 5791 Zack s Mill Road, Angier, died Monday at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh. Mr. Honeycutt was a native of Johnston County, born Oct. 6, 1930, to Reba McGee Honeycutt and the late Vaden Honeycutt. He was a mechanic and a member of Piney Grove Chapel Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a son, Larry Wayne Honeycutt. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Benson by the Revs. Timmy Blair and Robert West. 14 Wilson McGee July 26, 2003 ANGIER -- Mr. Wilson McGee, age 89, of 6277 Zack's Mill Road died Friday at Raleigh Community Hospital in Raleigh. Funeral Service will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Johnson Memorial Church. Rev. J. Dan Hudson and Grandson Mark Dean will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. McGee was a native of Johnston County, born on August 12, 1913 to the late Zachariah and Lucy Allen McGee. He owned and operated Wilson McGee Grocery Store and was a retired farmer. Mr. McGee was a member of Johnson Memorial Church. Survivors include: wife, Lillie Stanley McGee; daughters and sonsin-law, Athelene Langdon of Angier, Margie Baker of Smithfield, Mary Edith "Boodie" McLamb of Wilmington, Brenda and Ronald Johnson of Zebulon, Malinda and Charles Pope of Angier, and Kay and Donald Dean of Garner; sisters, Reba Honeycutt and Vera Beasley, both of Angier; brother, R. Z. McGee of Angier; 10 grandchildren; 13 greatgrandchildren; one great-great grandson. Mr. McGee was preceded in death by his parents and three grandsons.
