Like to thank each and everyone who volunteered and helped with all events WOTM had. All my chairwomen and board members thank you all for coming together this year. 3 Moose Legion News Hello, Moose Legionnaires: On April 7, Dinwiddie Lodge #1993 hosted the Old Dominion #148 Spring Celebration. There was a conferral of 10 candidates. Congratulations to John Cahill, DJ Ramsey and Bart Smith from Chesterfield Lodge #1980 for taking the next step in fraternalism. The ODML #148 Board of Directors and appointed officers was also installed. It was also decided that instead of scheduling the ODML #148 meetings during a weeknight they will be on Saturday afternoons. The winner of the Trike Scooter was drawn April 7, during the Spring Celebration. Congratulations to Pat Maxey from Sandston Lodge #1937 for winning the scooter. The winner of the one year free LOOM and Moose Legion dues was Ray Bowles from Colonial Heights Lodge #1783. The next Chesterfield #1980 Moose Legion Committee meeting is May 10. All meetings begin after the Queen of Hearts drawing, around at 7:45, with a social 30 minutes before meeting. Come to the meeting and welcome the new MLC Board of Officers as they begin the new year. Thanks to Chairman Reggie and the board for all they have done this past year. Yes, I will continue to serve as MLC Secretary. We are a fun and active MLC and meetings are open to all Moose Legionnaires and Chapter members. The Moose Legion Committee will be having breakfast on Sunday, May 27, The time is 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. We will have eggs to order, bacon, sausage, pancakes, grits, spiced apples, fried potatoes, biscuits/toast and gravy. All for only $7.00 per person. Moose Legionnaires receive $1.00 discount on all MLC breakfasts. Thanks to all that come to our breakfasts and to everyone who helps. We could not continue to have them without your participation and support. Details will be posted in the Lodge soon. To my Fellow Moose Family One of our new members Albet Cline, aka AC, was in a bad motorcycle accident a few weeks ago. He has had 13 surgerys. He has lost his leg and two mini bones broken to mention. After two weeks in the hospital he is at home and doing well. He has 3 months of PC. His spirits are high. All in all he is doing fine. He will be out of work for about 6 months. We have set up a Go Fund Me account for him. His bills add up to be around $ a month. Thank you, Steven M.
