2 From the East Brethren, I would like to start off by thanking all that was present during the official visit of Right Worshipful W. Robert Brammer DDGM for the 8th Masonic District. Also in attendance was Worshipful Master George Schneider of Kilwinning Crosse Lodge No , Worshipful Master Christopher Merse of Hudson-Morris Lodge No. 80, and Worshipful Master William Delaney of Frank P. Moncure Lodge No As always we started the night with Fellowship in the Baker Room where Amaranth Court No. 7 prepared and served a delicious Spaghetti dinner for the Brethren and Guest. We had a very busy night by first presenting Brother Kevin Valentine our Junior Deacon with his LMIP and then presenting Worshipful Brother James Ragsdale with a gift from the 2016 Officers where he received a standing ovation from the Brothers. We had several request for the George Washington Bible starting with Washington-Henry Lodge No. 344 located in Mechanicsville, VA for the 13th of February 2017, George Washington Masonic National Memorial Association located in Alexandria, VA for the 22nd, 23rd, 24th and 25th of February 2017, and from the Scottish Rite Richmond Valley for 27th of February The lodge voted for and approved the travel of the George Washington Bible to these locations. If there are any Past Masters of Fredericksburg Lodge No. 4 that would like to support these request please contact the head of the Bible Committee Brother Jamie Snyder at (jamie-snyder@usa.net). Our month of January was even busier starting with Most Worshipful Stuart Cook's official visit to the 8th Masonic District on the 21st of January which was a pleasure and honor being in attendance of such event. In addition of our Fraternal Visits of Edward H. Cann Daylight Lodge 1732, Kilwinning Crosse 2-234, Hudson Morris 80, Ashland 168 and Frank P. Moncure 279 we had a Fraternal Visit to Dale City Lodge 319 and had the privilege of providing a program. We also had to start degree work a little earlier then we planned since we are looking at 5 candidates that have started or going to start their journey within the Craft. In addition, I would also like to thank the Appended Bodies and all that provide donations for the new refrigerator which will be a great improvement along with the kitchen improvement once it is complete. Are next goal is getting a chair-lift along with upgrading the Ladies restroom into a Unix-sex Handicap restroom. Table Lodge Fredericksburg Lodge No 4. Table Lodge will be June 10th, 2017 celebrating the Holy Saints John. The Table Lodge will be from 6:30 to 7:30 and is open to all Masons. Please go to our website at for reservations. Blood Drive Fredericksburg Lodge No. 4 Blood Drives are Located at the Spotsylvania Towne Center. Location is near the food Court. Looking into the future our February is going to be just as busy, starting with a Fellowcraft Degree in the Old Lodge Room on the 1st of February starting at 7:00 PM. Our Stated Communication is on the 10th of February starting with a Chili Cook Off by the Brothers, the winning Chili will receive a free ticket to the June's Table Lodge. I have some sad news, I must say that Lady Riza wanted to make Lumpia for the Brothers but I told her she couldn't because we were having Chili, however the good news is she will be Meal Ticket Fredericksburg Lodge No 4 will again offer Meal Tickets to members and guest up until February. If meal ticket is purchased the Table Lodge Ticket will only be $25.00 vice $ Please contact the Stewards or go to our website at to purchase your tickets. making Chili Con Carne Lumpia. After the Stated we will continue with Called Communications until all candidates have been initiated. Please review the Lodge Instructor of Work information for the upcoming dates. We will also be doing a Fraternal Visit to Washington & Henry Lodge No. 344 the 13th of February with the George Washington Bible. My Brethren, From the Secretary s Desk THANK YOU! Dues Update Thank you to all those members that paid their dues so promptly (71 members % have paid $12, members have not paid and owe $19,500.00). All dues paying members have been sent an or mailed an invoice for their 2017 dues. Please let me know if you need a replacement. There are a few who have not paid yet, but I'm sure they will get their check for $ in the mail in the next day or two. If for some reason, you may have difficulty paying your dues, please call the Worshipful Master or Secretary. If we don't know, we can't help. Also, if it will help your budget, we will accept installments. Also, you can go to the Lodge's web site look on the lower left-hand side click Pay Dues, to use PayPal.

Masonic Anniversary and the Masonic Home For each member present at a Stated Communication during the month of their Raising, the Lodge will donate $25.00 in their honor to the Crown Jewel of Virginia Masonry, the Masonic Home! Can't attend? If you send a tax-deductible donation check (payable to MHOVA), the Lodge will match any a donation up to $ Lodge Calendar of Events look at the calendar in this issue. From the Lodge Instructor of Work Upcoming degree dates for February and March are as Follows: February 1st: FC Degree and Return MM Catechism class begins after lodge on Feb 1st February 8th: Lodge work night/cleaning February 15th: EA Degree and Return February 22nd: EA Degree March 1st: MM Degree March 8th: Lodge work night/cleaning March 15th: FC Degree We will be doing ritual practice/work prior to the Degrees starting at 5:30 PM and finishing up around 6:30 PM. In addition, following the Wednesday Degree with the exception on nights that a Master Mason Degree is conferred there will be class covering the Master Mason Catechism. This will start on February 1st. From the Stewards Brethren, this coming February Stated Communication the meal will be Chili prepared by the Brothers of the Lodge. You got it! Fredericksburg Lodge No. 4 Chili Cook Off where the winner will receive a free ticket to the June's Table Lodge.
